Here are the works currently listed in the table that do not yet have media samples. I'm sure this is not a comprehensive list, as there are many series that haven't been searched yet (Kart, Party, the sports games), but it's a good starting point for those who want to upload more media.

- ...Problem with that first one. To rip the version from the SPC-1500 version of Super Mario Bros. Special, one would have to first. Find. The SPC-1500 version of Super Mario Bros. Special. That version of the game has been lost media for awhile now, and that's kind of understating just how profoundly obscure the release is. We're not exactly managers of the spotlight, but personally, we think it's safe to excuse that one for the time being. ;P

- I do wonder, then... how do we know for sure that this sound effect exists in those versions? Common sense says it would, but many things about Special defy common sense. Scrooge200 (talk)

- The only way we can imagine it not being there is if the SPC-1500 version of Super Mario bros. Special outright lacks audio for some reason. Considering one of the few games for the SPC-1500 that's resurfaced in the modern day has sound, though, we figure that probably isn't the case.

I checked out ripping for Paper Mario: The Origami King, as I have experience with the game. We have a few tools, and the most direct idea was to use Citric Composer to extract the sounds from the BFSAR. The problem is that this is extremely counter-intuitive, as sequenced sounds like the 1-Up and Coin sounds almost never export properly from the program without extensive modifications of the file. So I decided to see if I could replace one of the sound definitions in the game (such as Mario jumping or the menu sounds) to be the 1-Up sound and record it in a room with no audio. The problem is that editing the sound data files aren't supported, and whenever I did, I'd end up with none of their sounds playing at all. I think the next best thing might be to try setting a battle to have no music, dying, and directly recording the audio from there? Scrooge200 (talk)
