In-game description

Mushroom Valley is a tennis court in the game Mario Tennis Open. The court is based on the Mushroom Gorge racing course from Mario Kart Wii. As the court takes place on top of a giant red mushroom, it is categorized as the series's first Mushroom Court. Surrounding the mushroom is a circular wooden platform where both Green and Red Koopa Troopas act as line judges. The scoreboard is on a blue mushroom, similar to ones seen in Mario Kart 7. When played on this court, the ball has a slow speed and a strong bounce. All three rounds of the Mushroom Cup take place on Mushroom Valley.
