Hi. We don't update the latest appearance until the game in question has been released. So please don't do it anymore. Yoshi876 (talk)

Hey Alex95

Thank you for your comment on the main page. I'm thinking that it probably won't do any good, considering spammers and trolls wouldn't look there, and you won't be banned for it. It really won't help, but its exactly how all of us Wikians feel.

On a side note, because of how awesome that speech was, would you like to be friends? Artwork of the Toad Brigade from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.Toad and his brigade!Toadette model CTTT.png 21:11, 16 February 2015 (EST)

Aboutfile reminder

Hello, Alex95. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded coding is shown below.

{{aboutfile
|1=Subject of the image
|2=Where you found the image
|3=Artist
|4=Describe edits, if any
|5=Other versions (use file link)
}}

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line of the variable(s) you don't use. If you do not wish to use the template at all, then it is acceptable to simply remove it before you upload the file. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

I see. Sorry about that... You (or whoever did it) didn't have to correct all that, by the way. If I'm told I did something wrong or inconvenient, I'll fix it. But now I know for the future. (Alex95 (talk) 00:28, 4 January 2016 (EST))
I didn't fix all of that, but I would have. But next time, make sure you format it correctly, it helps to have a correct aboutfile template in image files. Also, be sure to categorize your images in the appropriate game ie [[Category:Yoshi's Wooly World Images]]. But otherwise, keep uploading images, you did good. Thanks! That's probably the last (and only) time I'll do a major dump like that. I really just wanted to get through them quickly so I can get through them, but I ended up skipping a few steps... Sorry about that. If I ever upload another picture, I'll make sure to make the proper edits. (Alex95 (talk) 15:32, 5 January 2016 (EST))

Signature

I see you are using raw code for your signatures. Refer to Help:Signature. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 22:54, 22 March 2016 (EDT)

I don't mind using the raw code. It's quick and easy. Besides, I don't know what to make my sig look like haha. I'm sure I'll make one sooner or later, but for right now, I don't feel the need to. (Alex95 (talk) 23:14, 22 March 2016 (EDT))
I don't think you understand. It is against MarioWiki policy to use raw signature code (I think). I once inserted raw code but I saw an alert that suggested I move onto approved signature code. My signature just uses {{user}} ({{user|Wildgoosespeeder}}). --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:39, 25 March 2016 (EDT)
Alright, well, going over the signature policy, it seems the raw code is not allowed in voting pages? I've been told to just use the four ~ if I want and I have not been told otherwise yet. I suppose if it's upsetting you, I'll find another way to use it instead. Alex95 (talk) 16:45, 25 March 2016 (EDT)

RE: Sandbox?

Hi Alex95! You can think of the sandbox as a place where you can experiment with the wiki syntax, prepare your wiki edits, and do general tests. For example, if you are designing a long table, you can use your sandbox to test how it looks before implementing it in the actual wiki. It also helps when you want to take a break mid-work, so you can save the edits you made to your sandbox and resume work later. It is better than having an incomplete page on the wiki. You can create your own sandbox by creating a subpage to your userpage, simply open User:Alex95\Sandbox and you can edit it while working on a project. Otherwise, if you want to quickly test something, you are totally free to use MarioWiki:Sandbox, which is a page that was specifically designed for users to mess with the syntax. The main difference is that your own sandbox cannot be edited by any other user (except admins, but they won't usually edit it.) Hopefully I explained that well to you. See you around.

TL;DR: It's a sandbox, why don't you try to design a sand sculpture for the wiki?--

Those facts

Are true Arceus (talk) 13:14, 23 April 2016 (EDT)

The one where Donkey Kong was made with Pop-Eye characters was partially true. They didn't move the game to the Game & Watch until after the arcade release. Also, like I said, you can't expect people to fix your poor edits. Learn how to edit properly before making a major change to something everyone sees. Not trying to sound mean or nagging here, but please learn how to edit properly before you start making a fool of yourself... Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:17, 23 April 2016 (EDT)
