Interview

by Glitchmansig.PNG Glitchman (talk · contribs) Glitchmansig.PNG

Glitchman: How long have you been a member of the Wiki, and how did you join?

ChaosNinji: Hmmm...Well, I joined sometime in the start of September, though I’m not quite sure of the date, and I was originally only a member on the forums. I joined after searching for a forum based on video games that wasn’t complete crap (i.e. Gamespot).* Anyway, I then joined the Wiki.

Glitch: What was the first article you wrote, if any??

Ninji: Well, I’m not exactly the most active on the Wiki...^^; So, I’ve yet to start an article.

Glitch: What was your first impression of the Mariowiki?

Ninji: Well, compared to the other Wikis, this is the best I’ve seen besides Wikipedia. Sophisticated, it is, compared to the other Wikis.

Glitch: When you came here who were your role models?

Ninji: Well, I’m not quite sure I had a role model. In fact, I can honestly say I didn’t.

Glitch: Other than wikis what else do you do?

Ninji: In real life? Play Video Games, Soccer, hang out with friends. My life’s not that interesting.

Glitch: Which is your favorite smiley: Tongue or Cheesy

Ninji: Cheesy.

Glitch: What is your favorite part of the ‘Shroom?

Ninji: Fake News.

Glitch: What was your first edit?

Ninji: Main edit?

Glitch: Yes or any edit, actually

Ninji: My page, then, I believe. I could be wrong. I have to leave now. Any closing questions?

Glitch: Last question...are you glad this interview is over?!?

Ninji: At the moment, yes. o.o

Glitch: OK, thanks for the interview, ChaosNinji!!

Hello morsels, this is Hooktail here, a female dragon in the claws of this section. Unfortunately my little koopaling is kinda running late. Er, in fact, he's asleep back in his room... Poor scaly body, but I heard he has one fan game up his own little sleeve... Or shell if I may ask! So, I'll be taking over this for now, and wow; I just toke Ryan's place during chat as some operator before. And yet some oppies wouldn't bother deop me, such morsels. Say, if you don't know about this dragon, and which I meant me; you never played a video game called Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door morsels! It's about some guy named Mario, yeah I'm starting to despise him alright, and he had a bunch of so called partners just wanted to slay me! And yet there's more than just that... it's just I won't get much away because it had some story that relates to me...

...So shortlife, (licks her lips) do you want to know this section you ask poorly? Sure, why not? If you'd been reading this section, skip this I dare you! But you'll be dragon food if your do it on purpose! (snarls and roars) Have you seen this title of the section, do you? It's the Entertainment Section! But there could be more than just that. It's all about having the latest information about all of this section just to fill up with a few things, gimmicks, I dunno, just about anything that my growling stomach can be fed. (stomps hard) Grrrr, I want morsels now! I wannnnnnt it now! (Hooktail sees a group of unnamed users in MarioWiki) Hellllllllllo lunch, this could take a while...

(Hooktail roars out of the flying mansion, swooping down with her wings, gobbling up those little snacklings as part of her meal. After a while she flies back up with her stomach finally full and still wiggling.)

Ahhhhhhh, so full, I can feel the prey's final moments before they just drift off to sleep; awaiting for my stomach acids. Let's go with my latest video I'd found. (dragon smile)

Hooktail's Section:
Super Mario Fusion: World 1-6 (Hammer Bro Hideout)

Hmm, Hammer Bros.? Sounds like a series of those sub-species of so called sub-Koopas! And oh, that video box? Oh man, it's in my stomach when I ate that file. Hold on... (spits out the video box)

Oh, another Super Mario Fusion eh? What's that about? What is it? OMG, it's Mr. Jumpsallthetime! The lone hero who would stomp on people like Goombas, Koopas, and maybe Koops, that used-to-be-a-coward koopa that finally slain me! Wait, there's... Hammer Bros.? Those guys who throw a bunch of Hammers and just walk and back, and forward and back, throwing them on rows of Brick Blocks and junk like that.

In this video, this plumber which I don't really care goes of defeating some Hammer Brothers by simply jumping on their heads. Sounds simple? Ehhh, not. The hammers will take care of them! I think they're avenging me from being slain. ...But that's not the point that links to my relations, I'm not related to those Koopas. I'd rather dine on them! Back on-topic is where when he defeats those Koopas, it's not an easy task for him, not like when he encounters one back then in some game called Super Mario Bros. 3. Instead, some magical enchanted mysterious breathtaking blue door appears to go to... the NEXT level of battling those walkers. In a couple of sections or so he'll meet two other types of sub-species, Fire Brothers and Boomerang Brothers, sounds challenging... But Mario will have to kill them anyway.

But in the last area, I'd say no more. You shortlives have to see it yourself, forcefully. (evil dragon smile) Anyhow, if anyone I mean anyone that you read this section have no idea what Super Mario Fusion's about, you have no idea that there's another video related to this and somehow the name of the provider is... me! To see it yet again go to this link, scroll your browser page down and you'll see my first performance on that video review! If not, talk to me about something ok? Once that's taken care of, you'll just be unrecognized towards your friends or the public with me at a moment. (narrows dragon eyes)

Er, I'll be right back.

(Hooktail goes to Ryan's room in his own mansion, he sees Ryan in his medieval bed, sounding asleep with his shell replaced by his pajamas)
Hooktail: Ryannnnn, wake up.
(Hooktail licks his face drooling some thick saliva on him, Ryan finally wakes up)
Ryan: Wha, what? Oh, is it time? I was tired from homework and everything with my crazy family... . . .
Hooktail: (snarls) It's the Shroom time!!!
Ryan: Ohhhh, thanks for waking me up girl.
Hooktail: My beastly pleasure. ^_^
Ryan: Er listen girl, I gotta do my procedures before this (look at the saliva all over his body) since you covered me in thick saliva I have to take a shower.
(After a few moments, Ryan is clean with his shell worn by himself. He is ready for the fan game review.)

OK, it's time to kick it up for you guys waiting for. It's...

RAP's Section:
Super Mario War 1.7 April Fools Edition

What-za-min-ni-ute! I'm in the second last section?! Oh, correction, LAST SECTION in my part of my section!! ...Whoa that was confusing, a section and a section, maybe my section has a sub-section while Hooktail has a sub-section too and... (mutters and then...) Oh, and wait... April Fools Edition?! This one's a year and a few days ago! XD Eh, at least this is the latest version at least. Or maybe very least. As I last heard, this special edition consists of secret power-ups and maybe some unlockables for all of you to play. The replayability score increases Tongue ...But I don't want to spoil ever more. Let's get to the basics.

Super Mario War is a fun-fighting deathmatch game where players play in a certain area with a selected mode one of the players had decided for themselves for a load of playtime. Oh wait, there's no online play, so the player is forced to play with a bunch of average CPUs that think jumping is the best solution ever! It's not! What's worse than jumping for getting the glory, being dead meat that's who! Despite that, it would sure had increased the replayability with many more levelsets to gimmick with and crazy modes to slot and choose with a smash of your hammer!

In this current version of the game, there are currently 17 modes to choose from with differing into the levelmaps of your choice. Frenzy is when there are cards with power-ups attached to them appearing during the game instead of using the Question Block to get the power-up underhandedly hidden. Survival has to do with surviving from the three most dangerous traps encountered, Thwomps, Podoboos, and Bowser's fireballs from nowhere but between the left and the right side. Owned is straight forward, defeat your foe with a Stomp, a hammer, or using a nice burn with the Fire Flower and that defeated foe automatically owes you points for defeating that guy. If the player who's getting points gets stomped, the point taking stops. :) and Coin Collection, oooh! This one's my favorites actually! Another straight forward mode where you simply collect a certain amount of Coins to win. Simple right? No, you'll have to watch out for the other players, the power-ups, the obstacles in the levelmap and that would be it. XD

There's a Tournament and Tours created by certain players who love a kick for a challenge with a planned out mix and match of items, levelsets, certain settings, and certain modes to just kick it up a notch. This mode is a good choice for those users who are “two” lazzzy to make a challenge for themselves instead of creating challenges towards overs. Heh heh heh, funny.

To increase the replayabilty yet even more, the game provided a level editor for fans of this fan game to create levels to battle with it for their own and share it to their friends, or even the forum itself! There are (grabs his notebook) Warp Pipes, Donut Blocks, ? Blocks, Music Blocks and more with the texture of the background it makes it unique including the introduction of moving platforms to control and alter. There are more than tens of backgrounds in that level editors for players to choose for their own field.

Another nice thing would be custom skins for their players, I can tell that it was considered pretty nice with it's own limits. I can tell, there's hundreds of custom skins to think of as of now, like Bowser; yeah! Bowser finally fits into a 32x32 pixel piece! Tongue Pacman, er, without the legs. XD A Baby Yoshi, awwwwww... it does look cute... unless it's defeated in pain. XP Sonic!?! now that custom skin made it into that current version! And finally, the Sandbag! LOL it looks like a marshmallow! I'm serious! Spriters can sprite out custom skins as a request or for themselves to spend their own time with. In addition, there is also custom graphics to refine the concept of the whole game. More experienced users can alter the main menu, it's interior before playtime begins, and also graphics during the game. It would be different, with different colors, it's shading, shape, or maybe completely different apart from the original game.

This largely massively deathmatch game is originally created by Samuele Poletto who wrote one of the first versions of this game. It was mentioned that it felt ugly back then when it took place until a guy named Florian Hufsky decided to take his scrapped work to the next level. He had made a success and entirely supported a team who excessively loved the game and wanted to praise working with it fan-made. These main guys are... Two52 for continuing on coding during his spare time, Jared for having a management of user idea suggestions, thus continuously contributing them also, dolorous for actually writing out the Linux versions of this game, Steven Graff praised for providing new graphics for this awesome game, Link901 for being a notable moderator in the forums and for his work on the latest graphics pack, and finally Some Mac Guy for maintaining the Mac versions of this game! The very best is that the game has it's own website! Not just provided by one as a such of a commercial.

So users, if you want something completely new towards you that has to do with fighting similar to the Super Smash Bros. Series but with the Mario-themed pieces, wanted to POW Block over 15 items packed in for quite a surprise, with probably over 1000 maps created by users (uh, the site said it, XD) who contributed this towards the gaming world in fan games, go stomp some players here!

(Ryan is seen tired now after speaking about his largest review so far)
Ryan: W-O-W! This is quite an after shock eh Hooktail?
Hooktail: Uhhhhh, more like a series of you being that tired!
Ryan: About that game, I used to be in the forums and contributed some ideas and became a nice fan of it... Until I went to the Super Mario Wiki and plus the wiki helped me to find you when I thought you were slain by Mario, Goombella, and Koops!
Hooktail: Ah, jogged your own memory eh little koopaling?
(Ryan is seen asleep on the floor, muttering some sentences before completely sleeping)
Ryan: I wish I was like Jared who manages user suggestions, but instead went to a wiki, finally found Hooktail, and became a bureaucrat. :) (sleeps)
(Hooktail rawrs softly, starring at him, having a moment with him that time. She hears her stomach growl, she decides to eat him up)
Hooktail: (whispering while rubbing her stomach) Sleep tight Ryan.
(Hooktail does her normal doings while Ryan remains sleeping in her stomach soundly)

Beta Elements

Super Princess Peach

The Facts
• The Koopalings were originally going to be in the game, but were taken out for unknown reasons.
• Oddly enough, Morton's sprites were spread around the internet long before those of his siblings.
• Finally, a very early screenshot shows the "Peach's face" screen, which ended up on the bottom screen, to be on the top screen and totally devoid of Heart Panels and also having a bright green, solid background and a different design for Peach. The fact that the Heart Panels, which were used to change Vibes in the final game, are lacking from this screenshot suggests that Super Princess Peach was once planned to not use Vibes and be a more average side-scroller.

Fact 1. This could lead to multiple conclusions. First off, this could be the Koopalings big break. Who knows? They might go on to appear in other games such as New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Paper Mario.

Fact 2. Not a Beta Element, but still interesting. We can assume that he might have played a larger role then his other siblings. Maybe a reoccurring boss? The mastermind? For this we can only guess.

Fact 3. Like they say, it was probably going to be an average side scroller with no vibes used. There wouldn’t nescesairly be no powerups. It could possibly take more of the Mario feel, with Mushrooms, Fire Flowers, and Stars. Peach’s look seems eh… bad, and the background behind it doesn’t help the graphics out.

OK, so the better facts? Hard to tell. Fact 1 could have been a good addition, but in the manner of their previous game, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, Nintendo could have screwed up and use them as bosses in the current Bowser’s Villa area. Fact 2 would, in my opinion, would have screwed things up with the Koopalings. The way I figure, if one is a mastermind, all have to be. Fact 3 is definite no. The vibes are what make the game fun, and unique. Without them, the game would, in my opinion, soon become a bore.

Hello thar!

First, I must apologize for the (slight) delay. Normally, this issue should have been released the 5th of April. However, because of stupidity/laziness/incompetence, this issue got released two days later than it should be. >.<

For this month issue, InfectedShroom (talk) has replaced the inactive Phoenix Rider as the writer of the Review section (Review section which will be released later than usual, d'oh.). This month's issue also features the last quiz done by MegaMario9910 (talk), who decided to retire of the 'Shroom because... I dunno why, really. Otherwise, everything is the same as last month issue.

Also, I did a small cleanup of the Sign up page, kicking out a few inactive users and what's not. If you are interested in working for the 'Shroom, you might want to check it.

Obituaries

Hullo there! I'm Stooben Rooben and I like it when people die! ...Huh? You think that's cruel? Well, that is my line of work...

Biff Atlas - (A ghost, DEAD?!)

Biff Atlas
Biff, just before falling from the wall.

Biff Atlas, a toned bodybuilder, died last month from a hernia. While lifting several tons of iron, Biff collapsed under the weight of a 5,000-pound dumbbell. Unable to move and call for help, he died quietly two nights later. Luigi, being the lime-green plumber he is, decided to suck up Biff's ghostly remains with the Poltergust 3000. Later, during a vicious kart race through Luigi's Mansion, Biff's painting fell from the wall and was run over by Luigi's Poltergust 4000. It was then discovered why it's called Mario Kart and not Luigi Kart

Yoshi (1 Billion B.C. - 2008 A.D.)

Artwork of Yoshi in Mario Party 8 (later reused for Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games)
Yoshi, trying to fix the crick in his back.

Yoshi, perhaps the most loved dinosaur ever, died last week of a drug overdose. After carrying babies around for a good portion of his life, Yoshi suffered from severe back pains. With the unbearable pain, Yoshi had no choice but to go to a doctor. The doctor prescribed him Vicodinosaur. Yoshi was instructed to take half of a pill, but he instead took half OF the pills. A ceremony will be held on Yoshi's Island two weeks from today to honor the poor dinosaur. ...*sobs and runs away*

Kamek (WHO CARES ABOUT THIS CREEP!?)

Artwork of Kamek in Yoshi Touch & Go (Reused for Yoshi's Island DS)
Stinkin' Kamek on his stupid broom.

Kamek, that stupid magikoopa dude that's always trying to kidnap babies and kill Yoshi, died last week. After hearing about Yoshi's death, he got so excited, he fell off his broom. He fell to the ground and made a big SPLAT until he liquefied or something into a puddle. He leaked down into a sewage drain, so he won't have a funeral. WHATEVER! HE'S DEAD AND NO ONE CARES ABOUT THIS FREAK!!!

I, Smiddle, have stalked The Thes for months just to get an interview. However, to tease you, I won't post it here. I will just post the songs of the album, which you can find by just going to any online encyclopedic site. Wow, I sure do phail. Anyway, like a chocolate chip cookie sitting, waiting to get eaten, I've sat and waited for something funny to happen. While that funny thing, which I will not speak of here, was being awaited, I wrote this beautiful table. Isn't it just so cute? Go ahead. Look at it. Run 5 laps around your house while eating old papers. Read this list. You can dare to be stupid. Did I mention I was wearing my shirt the wrong way when I wrote this? No I don't think so. How about now? Yes. Why do I even bother you with this text? Reply hazy. Concentrate and ask again.

Everybody Hates Waluigi

The second season of the infamous Everybody Hates Waluigi show has been confirmed to be in production during late April. If you are among the few who have not heard of the show, it’s about an underrated tennis player named Waluigi who goes into exile after losing his fifth straight tournament and lives with his mother. Because it is a sports-related TV show, a new episode airs every Wednesday on the ESPM channel. This month, Plumber will be appearing in the show as Waluigi’s long-lost stepbrother. Plumber has been filming more than 5 shows already, and he was interviewed about why he accepted this job. “Well, the director guy said he thinks that he can pay me five quabillion dollars a week if I was on the show, so ah accepted it.” Only ten episodes have been aired so far, all of which were a part of the prologue. In the first episode, Waluigi was horribly disfigured in a strange waffle surfing accident, so he was unable to play tennis well. The show then told viewers about his now life-long humiliation, and in the next episode Plumber will attempt to teach Waluigi how to play tennis well. More on this underrated TV show next week, so tune in tomorrow night at 7, only on...ESPM!!

Fake Games

By: Purple Yoshi

Today, a new game was released. A game bigger, and better than any other game made before! It is.....

Super Mario...Cooking?

Yes, that's right! Mario puts on an apron (not really) and starts cooking!

Game: Super Mario Cooking For: DS Genre: Minigames

F mariocookinm 8fdf3b8.png

So, you use the touch screen to do certain things. You can put items in pots, turn on ovens, blend things, and etcetera, while defeating enemies that are trying to ruin your cooking! Why, I dunno.

Every time you complete a cooking stage, you get coins and points. This obscure game doesn't even have a storyline! It's just a fun game.

*rumble*

Oh, no! I hear Cooking Mama fans! I bet they're gonna sue me. Bye!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Review

By BLOC PARTIER.

Hmm… Reveiws. I've always wanted to do these for The 'Shroom. And they're very fun to write. Hope you like this one, even though it's late.

Intro

Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Some say it's the biggest game of the year. Some people think it's the best game ever. Other people don't like it, and prefer the prequel, Melee. What's my opinion? That's what I plan to answer.

But where to start? There's so many modes in the game that there's almost nowhere to start. So I'll start with the very first things that I did when I opened the game and popped it into my Wii.

And by the way, this review will contain a ton of spoilers. So please don't read it if you don't want to be spoiled.

Review

Group

This is probably the section most players will use the most. The most commonly played mode in Group is probably "Brawl." This is where Time, Stock, Coin, and Team matches take place. As for the mode itself, it is very versatile. You can play very long Time matches or a sudden-death-type one-stock match. I love this mode. It is what me and all my friends play, so it is great for everyone. One variable that may change your gameplay style is the Damage Ratio option. It is not new to the series, but personally I hate it, because it seems very powerful in this game. What it does is changes the amount of damage you need to be sent flying. This makes it hard when I go to my friend's house, because whereas I usually play with the Ratio at a good, solid 1.0, he ramps it up to 1.5. It takes me a couple matches to get used to it. Otherwise, the only other problem with this mode is that it takes too long to load.

Also in Group is the "Special Brawl." This mode lets you choose from a large amount of effects to have very different matches. For example, in this mode you can have all of the characters Giant, Metal, Reflecting, slow, and heavy with 300 damage and a fixed camera. This mode is very fun and gimmicky, but it gets old really quickly. For example, heavy characters plus metal with Superspicy Curry is not fun.

"Rotation" and "Tourney" are also under the Group section. These can be fun if you have a lot of people at your house or if you are hosting a tournament, but otherwise are pretty useless.

Lastly under Group is "Names." This is a very useful feature, especially if you like to keep records of all your Brawling. It allows you save names that, when selected in any mode, lets you record your KO's, Falls, Self-destructs, etc. It also allows the use of different control types that you set for yourself. So, if you hate jumping with the control stick or you've always thought grabs would be easier with X or Y, this mode allows you to make those changes for yourself. It's a very awesome and useful feature.

Solo

Solo's name is actually very misleading, as you always have the option to play Co-op with one friend. Anyway, Solo is very exciting. The main mode here is the Subspace Emissary, known to most people as Adventure Mode. Subspace Emissary (SSE) is a very good diversion from the usual modes. Oddly for a Smash game, it has a quite developed story and a relatively deep plot. I won't explain the story in full detail, but it involves all of the characters in some way or another. Each level is very long and filled with all sorts of stuff. For better or for worse, most of the enemies are completely original, and not from any other games (this is excluding the four enemies from the Mario Series: Goombas, Koopas, Hammer Bro.s and Bullet Bills). These enemies, in my opinion are very creative. Other reviewers didn't think so, but I disagree. My problem with the enemies is that they are too repetitive. For example, you see Primids everywhere. Another thing is the inconsistent AI. For example, I'll use Primids again. You will get tired of their stupidity. They will usually just sit in one place, and they will stay there for so long that you can usually go up to them, charge a smash attack all the way and kill them in one hit. In contrast, there's another enemy, the Gamgyas (I think), that is extremely smart. It will shoot very powerful beams at your character. It is very good at aiming said beams, and will continue to shoot your character even if the monster is off the screen, whereas Primids will just give up.

Another annoying part of SSE is the Trophy Stand: an item that will transform any enemy into a trophy. It takes a while to throw, disappears quickly, and is not too effective.

Anyway, let's get past my silly rants. The SSE is a very fun, long mode. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Other Solo Modes

Also under Solo is… Classic Mode! This really is classic, and feels great to play. When you beat Classic, you get the trophy of the character you beat it with. My only complaint with Classic is that it feels too inconsistent. For example, for the first match you always fight a Legend of Zelda character. But you never know which one you'll fight, or if you will fight one of them or two of them. After the first match, everything gets foggier. For example, you could be fighting two people at the same time with someone on your team, and then you'll be fighting a Giant character all by yourself. Other than that, Classic is a great mode to play when you're bored.

After Classic is All Star Mode, which is unlockable. In All Star, you'll fight every character in the entire game with only one life. This is one of my favorite modes, and I don't really have any complaints with it, except that it takes a long time to beat it just once.

Also in Solo is Event Matches, where you attempt to win matches with special, set guidelines. Again, it's a fun mode, and I enjoy it. There's not really anything to complain about in it. It's just not the mode that you will be playing every day.

Another Solo mode is Stadium, where many different things are available. Just as with Events, I really don't hate or love any of the modes in Stadium. They're just… in the game.

Wi-Fi

Wifi… Frankly, I have played it very little. But I really do hate that no names are shown. We had them in Mario Kart DS, and that game was rated E! I dunno, I guess they wanted security, but still… The other crappy thing about Wifi is the Lag… When you press a button, the action does not appear until about 3/4 of a second later. This seems small, but can make all the difference in the heat of a battle. Otherwise, Wifi has lots of options, and is mostly like any other Wifi game.

Vault

Oh, how I do love the Vault. Being an obsessive completionist, I adore absolutely everything in this amazing mode. The first part of the Vault is the Trophies and stickers section.

Trophies have been a recurring feature since Melee. They are very fun to collect, and in this game, there are a LOT of them. A HUGE amount. From every series, in fact, form Mario all the way to Animal Crossing and Game and Watch. They have especially good special effects this time around, with amazing clouds of dust and even a cool lightning effect. Stickers are new to the series, and are slightly less awe-inspiring. Certain Stickers do give off a wave of nostalgia, however, such as some old Mario artwork and some cool Metroid ones. I do have a scathing problem with stickers, however. They appear way too much in Group and Solo Modes, and since I'm so obsessive, I feel the need to grab each and every one. This gets me killed a lot. I guess I could become less obsessive, but there should be an option to turn the darn things off. Another cool thing under the Trophy section is the "Coin Launcher," which lets you launch coins to get trophies in a old-school style shooter game. It's very addicting.

Also in the Vault is the Stage Builder. People have been wanting it since Brawl was announced. And it is rather awesome. But, unfortunately, it's rather gimmicky, especially when Computers play the stages. The idiotic AI of computers tells them to jump anywhere when there's an item of value. This includes jumping into a huge pit of spikes or, in some cases, off the edge. But with friends, the mode can be very fun.

"Masterpieces" is a mode that plays much like the Wii's Virtual Console: It allows you to play short snippets of old video games. And when I say "short," most of the time I mean REALLY SHORT. I mean, the longest time you can play a game is five minutes, and then it takes you back to Brawl. The one game I'm really sad has such a short time limit is F-Zero, which lets you play for a whole 40 seconds. This is not even enough time to finish a single lap.

Gameplay

Oh, wow, almost forgot this section… Hmm… I think I'll compare this game's gameplay to Melee's (SSBM).

Well, first off, the physics of this game are WAY different from SSBM. The characters are slower, they fall slower, the items have different launch rates, you can catch items easier, and you can do multiple air dodges, among other things. Now, don't get me wrong, this is not a bad thing. I think it fits perfectly. It feels much like the first game in the series, Super Smash Bros. Some other reviewers did not like this, and many people reading my review probably disagree with me. But me and my friends love it. We could play some rough battles in SSBM, but it feels less stressful with the slowed-down action.

The controls of Brawl are… varied, to say the least. You can use one of four control types, and each has its strengths and weaknesses. I personally use the Gamecube Controller, because it is easy and I am used to it. But I have used all of the other control types, too, excluding the Classic Controller (I don't own one…). And, surprisingly, I like the Wii Remote turned sideways more than the Wii Remote with the Nunchuck. This is my opinion, however, and I still like the GCN Controller the most. Plus, you can make your controller do almost anything you want to suit your needs with the "Names" function.

Finally, there is the Final Smash. This is Brawl's main new feature, and I enjoy it. It's been a while since the release, and I still keep those Smash Balls on. Admittedly, the cutscenes get annoying after the fiftieth time you've seen them, but the whole thing still hasn't gotten old.

Conclusion and Final Score

And this concludes my review. Sorry it's so long, but since Brawl is such a huge game, I think you'll understand. I promise that future reviews will not be as long. Anyway, here's my final score.

Final Score: 9.7 – It's a great game. Even more than I hoped for. But there's a few little things that I didn't like, which brought my score down a tiny bit. But I love the game, and I recommend that everyone should get it.

Alright, hope you like the review! I'll have it in on time next month! Alright, I'm out. Bye!
