<< ^^ Directory of missions ^^ >>

Rapid Fire is the fifth mission in Mario Tennis Aces, taking place in Piranha Plant Habitat.

Layout[edit]

Mario and Toad enter Piranha Plant Habitat, where Toad notices they have stumbled into a lair of Piranha Plants, and asks Mario to rally back their fireballs.

In this mission, Mario has 180 seconds to rally back the fireballs spewed by the Piranha Plants, and must defeat thirty to win. While regular Piranha Plants simply spew small fireballs, Fire Piranha Plants spew larger purple fireballs at the cost of taking much longer to charge up. Mario will lose five seconds on the timer if he is hit by a small fireball and will lose ten seconds if he is hit by a large fireball. For each Piranha Plant defeated, a star point appears, allowing Mario to perform Zone Shots at other Piranha Plants.

After the thirty Piranha Plants are defeated, Mario and Toad continue onward.

In-game text[edit]

  • "Defeat 30 Piranha Plants within the time limit!"
