“MORTON AND HIS NUTTY GROUP ARE PREPARING FOR YOUR ARRIVAL”
Introductory Tagline

Template:Worldbox Morton's Wood Door Hysteria Hotel[1] (stylized as the WoodDoor-Hysteria Hotel in its in-game logo) is the first hotel found in Hotel Mario, owned by Morton Koopa Jr. and built in a large tree. The name of the hotel is a pun on Waldorf-Astoria, a renowed luxury hotel in New York City.

Before entering Morton's Wood Door Hysteria Hotel, Mario notices how peaceful it looks; however, Luigi warns him that the appearances are deceiving in the presence of Koopas. Mario infiltrates the hotel by leaping from Luigi's back onto one of the hotel's windows. Throughout the hotel's stages, Mario encounters a large number of Goombas, Koopas and Wigglers. The boss stage is known as Morton's Tree House o' Pain. In Stage 6, the player can enter a door on the top floor to warp to the third stage of Larry's Chillton Hotel.
