Template:Infobox Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour is the second game in the Mario Golf series and the first for the GameCube. The game has earned the Player's Choice rating.

This game also features special elements such as Fast Fairways (fairways where the ball rolls much farther than on a normal fairway), Warp Pipes, (when a ball is shot into a Warp Pipe, it will come out of another one) and Chain Chomps (when a ball is hit and it lands near them, the Chain Chomp will chase after the ball causing an O.B. shot).

Opening Movie

Mario and Luigi look at a shiny trophy while they comment how nice it looks. Princess Peach and Princess Daisy yell their name and tell them to come play. Mario and Luigi shout "Okay!" and rush over to the princesses and start playing. Wario and Waluigi, from a bush, look at them play and are jealous that they're such great players. Wario and Waluigi hear a noise and turn around and see Yoshi and Koopa humming. Wario and Waluigi hold on tight to their Golf Clubs while laughing and prepare to have a game with them. They challenge them to a golf game. They all take turns hitting the ball-Yoshi hits the ball near a Chain Chomp. When he tries to get it back, the Chain Chomp wakes up barks at Yoshi, scaring him and making him fall over.

Waluigi laughs at Yoshi and turns around and sees Wario attempting to get the ball out of the bunker. However, all he manages to do is hit the sand with the club and make it spread everywhere into Waluigi's face. Waluigi then starts trying to get the ball into the hole but fails everytime. He takes so much time that Yoshi and Koopa fall asleep soon. Waluigi gives up trying to hit the ball into the club and Wario then points out that Yoshi and Koopa have fallen asleep and they can't play with them. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong walk past the sleeping Yoshi and Koopa and Wario and Waluigi have found their new opponents. They challenge them to a golf game. Wario hits the ball pretty far until it is no longer in sight. Wario and Waluigi start laughing and then they hear a loud roar. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong turn around and walk away.

The ball suddenly flies back landing in front of Wario. Wario and Waluigi look up and see Bowser in his Koopa Clown Car-with a black eye. The ball had just hit Bowser in the eye. Bowser keeps firing Bullet Bills at the two as they run around Lakitu Valley and past Birdo and Boo who were playing a game of golf. Fortunatly for the two, they find a yellow Warp Pipe that is too small for the Koopa Clown Car or Bowser to fit through. Wario and Waluigi come out the other side of the pipe and stop to catch their breath. However, Bowser and the Koopa Clown Car appear right above the two. Bowser takes out a Bob-omb as Wario and Waluigi scream loudly. Meanwhile, Mario is preparing to take a shot. Wario and Waluigi try to escape from Bowser by going through an enormous metal door. Mario hits his ball with the golf club, just as Waluigi is able to open the door.

Wario and Waluigi keep running however the ball Mario just hit, hits Wario and Waluigi and Bowser's hand which contained a Bob-omb. The Bob-omb explodes on Wario and Waluigi and creates an explosion. Mario is confused to what caused the explosion, while Luigi, Peach and Daisy just scream in terror.

This version allowed players to play the Bullseye Tour in the Special Tournament mode. Codes issued from this version of the game could be submitted through the official website. Trivia

  • In coin attack mode, the coins make up various patterns. One makes up the Triforce from the Legend of Zelda series, while another looks like the Nintendo GameCube. One pattern spells out "1-2-3 GO!"
  • Every time the player makes a shot, the screen will close up on the ball. Very, very rarely and randomly, the close up will feature a Boo the size of a golf ball, making the sound that Boos do.
  • This game's scoreboard features many characters from other Mario games, including Goombario and Hammer Bro. Quite shockingly (and very possibly coincidentally), one of these referenced characters has actually never been seen since the Super Mario Adventures comic, where he was a minor hero.
