Baby Luigi is the infant form of Luigi. In the Yoshi's Island series, he is kidnapped several times by Kamek, where Yoshi, who is protecting Baby Mario, is required to rescue him. Baby Luigi has also appeared as a playable character alongside his older self in the Mario Kart series and other spinoff titles, as well as being one of the major protagonists of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 (pictured) was released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on October 2, 2025. Additionally, the music tracks introduced were made available on the Nintendo Music app on October 1. The soundtrack for Princess Peach: Showtime! was made available on the Nintendo Music app on September 29, 2025. Doug Bowser, the president and Chief Operating Officer of Nintendo's North American branch, has announced his retirement, effective December 31, 2025, with Devon Pritchard replacing him as president and Satoru Shibata taking the role of Chief Executive Officer. Nine tracks from the soundtrack for Donkey Kong Bananza were made available on the Nintendo Music app on September 18, 2025.

The Bear enemy from Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins appears on the "Printing" screen of the Game Boy Camera (pictured). In the Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon mission Front-Door Key, the scene where two Strong Greenies bring the suit of armor to life with electricity is a reference to the 1931 film version of Frankenstein. Sprites of Shy Guy and Tweeter as they appear in Super Mario All-Stars go unused in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the sticker depicting the Bowser Space from Mario Party 6 is erroneously called "Bowser Coin".
