From the Super Mario Wiki

Announcement (December 29, 2013)

The reason I have not been on the Super Mario Wiki for so long is that my computer broke in November, I joined Nookipedia, and I feel that the hard work I did for the Super Mario Wiki over the summer was not valued enough. I will no longer be editing for the Super Mario Wiki nor will I be editing for Nookipedia anymore. I would edit more if the users of the Super Mario Wiki would focus more on what is contributed by a user, instead of how much a user contributes. If you want to keep in contact with me, I am MarioKartManiac on Miiverse.

MarioKartManiac Synopsis

Hello! I am MarioKartManiac! I joined the Super Mario Wiki back on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Before I was MarioKartManiac, I was Driver104. I changed my name to MarioKartManiac on Monday, May 27, 2013. During the 2012 Christmas season, I was becoming a big Mario fan, so I wanted to learn a lot more about Mario Kart since I was getting Mario Kart: Super Circuit that year. I found the Super Mario Wiki, and I used it very often. I decided I should join a few months later just to fix any minor mistakes I found on the site. When I joined, I never knew I would make new articles, or even have a friend to talk to. These past few months, I have enjoyed being a part of the Super Mario Wiki and I will continue to be an active user on this website for as long as possible.

Hello guys! It's time to take a break of Youtube and it's time to show you what Mario Kart retro tracks I think will make it to Mario Kart 8! I will be narrowing down my battle course chocies at a later time.

MarioKartManiac's Marvelous Monday Melody

On July 15, 2013, I began something called MarioKartManiac's Marvelous Monday Melody. Every Monday, I pick out a song from the Mario series that I have found catchy, awesome, or scary. When I leave you a message on a Monday, you will get that days melody. Below is a chart listing all of my Monday Melodies. Have fun listening!

Monday Melody YouTube Link Description
July 15, 2013 Mario Party DS Credits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiPgarX1OZo My first Marvelous Monday Melody!
July 22, 2013 Rainbow Road
(Mario Kart: Double Dash!!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHdEjH_7YY8 My favorite Rainbow Road song in the entire Mario Kart series.
July 29, 2013 Boss Battle
(Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lsdf3InPxPI Last week, I finished watching KoopaKungFu's Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga LP on YouTube. He pointed out that the boss battle music is great, and I 100% agree with that!
August 5, 2013 Jolly Roger Bay
(Super Mario 64)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZMT1dWniDM I find this melody very relaxing, but don't get to relaxed! Unagi lives in Jolly Roger Bay!
August 12, 2013 Boss Battle
(Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bM_aAXAm5nU My third Marvelous Monday Melody was the Boss Battle music from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. This week, listen to the Boss Battle music from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Which do you prefer?
August 19, 2013 World 5-4
(New Super Mario Bros. 2)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lzp-MV1kKU Since today is the 1-year anniversary of the release of New Super Mario Bros. 2, I would like to dedicate today's melody to the game. I'm sorry I couldn't find a better video. Please stop the video at 0:59 to listen to the full melody. By the way, today is also the 1-year anniversary of the release of the Nintendo 3DS XL!
August 19, 2013 Bonus Melody
(New Super Mario Bros. 2)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj_zEKZJQiE When I found out that August 19 would be on a Monday this year, I had to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the release of New Super Mario Bros. 2. I found it very clever to have 2 melodies today since the game has the number "2" in it. Now that I think about it, I should have a bonus melody on the 10-year anniversary of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!.
August 26, 2013 Sky Garden
(Mario Kart: Super Circuit)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g68cHMi16vw Tomorrow is the 12-year anniversary of the release of Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Every Mario Kart game has had tracks with outstanding music, and Sky Garden is a great example of outstanding music for the 3rd Mario Kart game in the Mario Kart series. I wish I could say Rainbow Road and Cheese Land were better than Sky Garden when it comes to music, but it's hard to make up my mind when it comes to picking out a Mario Kart melody. I try to keep things balanced. This list would be all Mario Kart music without me balancing things out.
September 2, 2013 Mario Circuit 1, 2, 3, 4
(Super Mario Kart)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65YtL3DfGHs Wow! It's already been 21 years since the first Mario Kart was released!
September 9, 2013 Boss Battle
(Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwvgfLkqdB8
September 16, 2013 Plack Beach
(Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zK2WW_TrOE Summer is coming to a close. Let's remember the last three months with today's melody.
September 23, 2013 Tick Tock Clock
(Super Mario 64)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWJD5O2V__8 Almost 17 years ago, Super Mario 64 was released for the Nintendo 64. Based on my experience from Super Mario 64 DS, I love Tick Tock Clock's music. The real level though is a pain.
September 30, 2013 Maple Treeway
(Mario Kart Wii)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLn9__8SSTk It's hard to imagine that it's already fall. The weird thing about this week is that July temperatures will dominate the forecast this first week of October. That means I can keep wearing shorts!
