Apparently, there was a proposal from 1.5 years ago to merge Peach's frying pan to this article. However, one problem that seems to have come from it is that this page seems to be a little unfocused in scope.
Most of the information is centered around Peach's frying pan and adjacent subjects, but the sections about Super Mario Odyssey and Paper Mario seem somewhat tangential, and I fear that if we don't properly nail down specifically what the scope of this page is meant to be, it'll eventually start randomly covering every single instance of a frying pan appearing in a Mario game, regardless if it has any importance to the plot or gameplay. Resulting in irrelevant passages such as:
- "In Paper Mario: The Origami King, frying pans appear in Overlook Tower."
- "In Super Nintendo World, the character Chef Toad is seen holding a frying pan in his promotional art and certain pieces of merchandise."
- " Frying pans appear in Super Paper Mario. They are mainly found in Sweet Smiles and Hot Fraun, although they cannot be interacted with in-game."
And other things paragraphs like that. What exactly are we trying to cover in article? Wandering Poplin (talk) 14:42, December 26, 2025 (EST)
- Reading the proposal, it says for option #2: merge the frying pans and make this article about both the frying pan associated with Peach and frying pans in general. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 07:51, December 27, 2025 (EST)
- I don't really think what you said would add or solve anything in the situation, nor does it really address Wandering Poplin's actual problem with the article (that being, their fear that the article's scope could become too broad and may cover instances of frying pans that are completely irrelevant). You instead just reiterated what they already know, which doesn't really help anyone in the grand scheme of things.
