Toad, Paper Mario: Color Splash

The Megaphone is a Thing in Paper Mario: Color Splash. It is found at Toad Trainworks inside a room next to some lockers. Once it has been picked up, it is wrung out, refills Mario's paint, and becomes a colorless card. After it is used, it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from the Wringer for 150 coins and sold as an unpainted card for 1 coin. A replica version of the Megaphone can be collected from the Battle Spin.

When it is used in battle, the scenery changes to a nighttime city setting. The Megaphone lowers from above and prepares to be used as Mario panics and crouches. It produces a distorted guitar sound. When it finishes, the enemies are damaged and Mario looks towards the camera and shrugs. The player can yell into the GamePad's microphone to increase the damage dealt. If this is performed, the Megaphone plays the sound while turning rapidly. It ends by blasting the enemies away with a large sound wave. Instead of shrugging, Mario gives a thumbs-up.

The Megaphone is needed to wake the Thwomp preventing the Sunset Express from moving. Mario must use Cutout and place the Megaphone card. Huey uses the Megaphone to yell at the Thwomp who then wakes up and raises into the air.

The Megaphone can also be placed into the Prisma Museum, where it can be tested.
