Drain Beam is an attack used by some bosses, such as Raspberry in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. This attack deals significant damage to all party members. It's animation is noted by a blue beam surrounding the party and a distinct sound similar to a blowtorch. The name is misleading, since it doesn't actually recover the user's health.
