Organization

Actually, as far as sections go, this article is in line with the new article organization standard. Everything in the History section is listed by, first, major series, and then by games in the series or episodes, all according to release date. Remember, seperating "other media" into other sections is considered speculative and POV, so all appearances are arranged according to series and release date, just like the Mama Mario article. -- Son of Suns (talk)

I always considered Super Mario RPG to be an "independent" title, as it does not follow the same gameplay mechanics as Super Mario Bros. and its adapted form in Super Mario 64. Basically, the Super Mario section is for platformers that emerged out of Super Mario Bros. Series are a combination of naming and gameplay, and Super Mario RPG clearly does not fit into the platforming gameplay of other "Super Mario" games. Does that make sense? -- Son of Suns (talk)

Yeah. Do you think we should make a Super Mario (series) page? (The Mario (series) page would then, like it does now, cover all forms of the Mario franchise.) I would consider the main series to be Super Mario Bros., both versions of 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 (DS), Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. This is somewhat based on the images FLUDD flashes at the beginning of Super Mario Sunshine, showing a link from SMB to SMW to SM64 to SMS, establishing all four are in the same continuity, and by extension that would include all the "Bros." games, and Super Mario Galaxy (as it acts like a sequel to 64 and Sunshine). Super Mario World 2 would also be included, but note that this game also acts as a "formal" beginning to the Yoshi series. What do you think? -- Son of Suns (talk) P.S. Mario Bros. would be considered an "ancestor" to the series, but also its own independent title, as the gameplay is radically different.

I would see no problem with making a page for those titles. But going by that theory, we would have to create a Super Mario Bros. (series) page, which would cover SMB, SMB:TLL, SMB2, SMB3, SMBDX, and NSMB. Technically the Super Mario series would be a sub-series of the Mario series; but in the same aspect, the Super Mario Bros. series, would be a sub-series of the Super Mario series. And in that same light, we may want to consider making such pages as Super Mario World (series) and Super Mario Land (series), as they would be technical sub-series of the Super Mario series as well. — Stooben Rooben 12:46, 6 February 2009 (EST)

Split Sunshine Wiggler

The Wiggler from Super Mario Sunshine should have its own article in my opinion. It is given an individual name in original Japanese and also has unique traits. It is the only major Sunshine boss who is simply named like its species in English. Male Wiggler

The wiggler in MPDS is a boy. It says in the desription for Wiggler's watering can:Everyone's told him to get a new one, but Wiigler plans to stick with this one a while longer.Mario Bros.!

Wiggler's symbol

No, it's not that important to be in the trivia. After all, he hadn't even officially established the flower as his emblem yet. And also, this Wiggler is a he, as stated on the Official North American Website: "Big, yellow, and wiggly, this creature worms his way around the track." MarioComix 19:35, 26 November 2011 (EST)

CPU Wiggler

But what? No source I found would mention Wiggler not turning red or something unless it was a glitch, most likely. (Not every site is a wiki!) Super Mario Galaxy and 2

You can actually perform a direct ground-pound on them to obtain Star Bits, and spin to flip them over. Also, in the first game, the segment you jump on will be flattened, and the Wiggler will explode. In the second game, no matter what segment you jump on, the entire body flattens before exploding. Also, when you use a Rainbow Star, the wiggler flies apart, similar to the SMS Wiggler in the Mirror Madness! Tilt, Slam, Bam! mission of Gelato Beach.

SMG and SMG2 Artwork

I have realized that the Artwork for Wiggler from Super Mario Galaxy is the same as the one from Super Mario Galaxy 2 but it is missing a leg because it was cropped from the trading card. See here to see the similarity, Galaxy is one the left and Galaxy 2 is on the right.
