I found an Article that mentions Dixie Kong featuring in the Demo of Mario super sluggers.

Awesome article in japanese magizine with lots of pics and art

I have found an article with pics of the characters and art. And each character has their own special shot (instead of mario and luigi both having fireballs, luigi has a tornedo thing as seen in one of the screen shots The character art looks great :)

These characters happen to be on the cover because it was cut to fit Mario at the center. You can see to the far left people in seating box are barely cut out. ForeverDaisy09

We can't base it on the boxart. For one, Blooper might be a referee (or whatever), like Lakitu. It's very likely Baby Peach, but we can't be certain. And that Baby DK may be Diddy Kong. My Bloody Valentine The image is too blurry to be certain.

Rosalina In her article, Rosalina is mentioned to be playable. Please, if she is not really going to be playable, fix her article. If she is playable, add her name to the list, please. Luma(possibly...just speculation) In Mario Kart Wii, a Luma appears as a special accessory of Rosalina's. This has led me to believe thatLuma may make an appearence. I'm not saying that he/she will be playable, but...yeah...w/e.

I know a lot of other artwork was reused already in other games, but as Cobold has said before on this page, Fly Guys appeared on Mario Party 8's boxart, and they were nowhere to be found. Character Confusion

The picture shows us 40 characters yet the list has 44 characters. II don't see Fly Guy or Dry Bowser anywhere, so their appearance is questionable. According to the New game pipe project, speculations are alowed. These caracters are speculations, but will most likely apear. Since Baby Daisy is playble, Rosalina and Dry Bowser are most likely also playble. Fly Guy appeard playble in more Mario games, why not this one. rend (talk) (edits)

The only logical conclusions I can think of is that 1.) More boxes are added when more characters are unlocked. 2.) Dry Bowser is an alternate color for Bowser like Fire Bro. and Boomerang Bro. are for Hammer Bro, and may be the same for Fly Guy with Shy Guy. 3.) Are you sure this is confirmation? I mean, the pic we saw of the character select screen dipicted no space for Lakitu. Also, wasn't there a pic or video (possibly a trailer) that showed Lakitu floating behind Donkey Kong? I just wonder if Famitsu got it wrong. Has anyone even translated the text below to see what it says? Futhermore, IGN's Mare may be a typo, but of what? I can draw a few conclusions about Lakitu and the character select screen image. Either A.) It's a beta screenshot and not the whole roster was about to fit on the screen or B.) He is a umpire, the opening sequence on the Japanese website shows him as a umpire, just because he has art in Famitsu doesn't mean he is playable, it just means he is in the game. -Pikatwo

This is nonsence, everyone. Lakitu is non-playable. There are only 40 characters. In almost every video, Lakitu is shown behind everything. He's an umpire. Speculation Characters? WTF?

What the heck is this? When was it ever confirmed that there are infact 44 characters? Can someone please cite these sources like the 44 character thing. Sure, the speculation list is based off characters who have previously appeared in Mario games (except Lanky) but still. It came out of nowhere and I will delete it if need be. Mega Mushroom is NOT an item!

From the article: Mega Mushroom - Turn giant and stomp a player by the home base.

On the Japanese site, you see Mario getting big and crushing Bowser Jr. near the base by pressing "B" faster than Bowser Jr.. In a new gameplay video on YouTube, the same happens, but with Dixie Kong and Peach. Dixie was runnning to the base, where Peach was. This time, they had to press "2", Dixie pressed "2" the fastest, but did NOT get big, instead, she tackled Peach with her ponytail. What I'm saying is that Mario didn't get big because of a Mega Mushroom, but because of his special attack. The one who presses the random button the fastest, uses his/her special move, Mario's being getting big, and Dixie's being her ponytail attack. Freekhenstra

I've notice that the main page for Mario Super Sluggers is semi-protected, and I was hoping to see about starting a list regarding the Challenge Mode cutscenes that wait us during this mode of the game (got this idea after viewing the videos shown at Wii Folder. Of course, we'd have to put the spoiler tags prior to this, but here's how the layout would work:

We (excuse the improper grammar) not put information just because it's considered spoiler material. the way the intro was written would make since to be applied to the other events that follow through challenge mode. this table is basically useless when we have other ways of keeping useful info. All right; side question to those who have the Japan version of this game -- can anyone tell me (and others) how many total cutscenes await us in the Challenge Mode of this game? And we need confirmation of we're able to view them again outside of the mode itself (obviously by using the standard drill of "view this movie in the Challenge Mode to unlock it under a certain menu" in another section of the game). Team Names

What should we do about Bowser Jr.'s, and Birdo's team names? They're referred to as "Koopa Rookies" and "Catherine Lips" in the gameplay vids. Should we keep them as that for now, or change them to the inevitable (yet still unconfirmed) "Bowser Jr. Rookies" and "Birdo Lips"? -Moonshine

Character Types?

I doubt it, besides, I think it's best for the U.S. (English) version to get released so that we can find out the real truth in terms of character types. Most of them are duplicate images, which means two or more images are the exact same thing. Plus, isn't most of this artwork older? For instance, none of these have nothing Baseball-related. TWG

Yep, most of these images are "recicled", which means that producers utilize the same image in different games. I'll delete the duplicate ones, and we'll keep with the new as King Boo, baby Peach, baby Daisy, baby DK and the baby bros, because they were wanted...

I think it's also worth noting that the main source is from the recent update at the official Japan game site for Mario Super Sluggers. But yeah, I'm with Coincollector in saying that it's safe to concludee that the arts for King Boo, Baby Peach, Baby Daisy, Baby DK, Baby Mario & Baby Luigi were indeed to be mainly targeted for Mario Super Sluggers. Also the hi-res versions of those materials and the team captain arts have STILL yet to surface. *sighs* I wonder what's taking Nintendo so long to relay us the goods... MeritC

Aren't all of the older artworks with their karts? You don't delete an older artwork if there is a background difference, regardless if it is the same pose. You only do that if there's no difference. MarioKun

Nintendo has exposed the game's American release date, witch was right all along: August 25, 2008.
