Merge with Grand Star

They function nearly identicle, look similar, and is probably just an older version that was remade into the Grand Star. I think Nintendo meant for them to be same thing, just updated look and name. Perhaps a merge?

3. Xzelion (talk) – there are plenty of things in the Mario world that look similar (which I don't think these do, I mean aside from bring a star with eyes), we shouldn't merge on that basis or the assumption the designers "probably" meant for them to be the same, probably is a dangerous word.
4. Koopakoolklub (talk) No, no, no... they're large stars with much power... but, I mean, the sentence on top says, Not to be confused with Grand Star., which means they are different things.
5. Mario (talk) One of them is the final star in the game. The other is the last star that powers the Comet Observatory, which are found after the final level of most domes. No split.
6. Tsunami (talk) They are not the same thing: the giant is an upgrade of a Power Star that is the key to unlock Peach, the grand are powerful versions of Super Stars that make gates to new world or make the engine of the Comet Observatory works... well, they're not the same thing.

8. Sonic98 (talk) Per Tsunami. And I would add that while the Grand Stars include the calculation of the normal Power Stars, the Giant Star not only is not even contegiata, but also allows Mario to become Wing Mario.

10. Vommack (talk) If that sarcastic proposal is funny, I can't see how this wouldn't be gut-bustingly hilarious. They look similar? The only thing that's similar about them is that they're both stars. Their functions have barely anything in common. Considering the amount of splits that have been made for things with the same name, "their name is similar" isn't an argument at all.

SuperYoshiBros (talk) There is only one Giant Star in SM64/SM64DS, and does not count towards the star total (Unlike other Power Stars, the Giant Star will not increase Mario's Star total once collected). It looks exactly the same as a regular power star except larger. It also turns Mario into Wing Mario. Meanwhile, there are several Grand Stars in both SMG games, and they count towards the star total. They look like larger power stars but have small balls on the tips. In SMG2, they even transform into portals to other worlds. The only thing that makes these REMOTELY similar at all, is that they look like the Super Star.

Okay, I am not too serious on this proposal, I don't really care, but the stupidity of merging those two gave me quite a laugh. The green star a) functions entirely different, used to break gates and open bowser statues, will star coins are merely large amounts of currency, to buy access to paths as well as movies. You do understand he's using that as an analogy for your proposal, yes? Because it's the exact same situation: merging two item with vague as hell similarities between them (and that's if they have any at all). Lord G. matters. 15:39, 30 June 2014 (EDT)

I do not understand why create TPP proposals that the same person who proposes them, finds them ridiculous or not supported despite being the creator. In my opinion, if these are the real reasons I would remove both this proposal is that of King Boo.--Sonic98 (talk) 06:43, 30 June 2014 (EDT)

Guys, I'm pretty sure he's not calling his own proposal stupid, but Peanutjon's argument of "Why don't we just merge Star Coin and Green Star?". Since he does outline how the Green Star & Star Coin are different, which neither one is a part of his proposed merge. Xzelion^ETC
