Area 5-1
- Not to be confused with World 5-1.
Template:Levelbox Area 5-1 is the first course of Sandstorm Steps and the thirty-seventh course overall in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!. It also introduces the Blue Ladders, a primary gameplay element which is used to draw Ladders.
The level features two Mini Marios.
Layout
Both Mini Marios begin at the bottom left on a platform on the lower level, with the M Door on the top left. In order to reach it, they must simply be guided to the boundary and use two Blue Ladders and some Red Girders at the top.
M-Token
The M-Token is located on the bottom center, atop a platform on the lower level. To collect it, a Mini Mario must simply follow some Red Girder platforms to it while not drawing any Blue Ladders.
Mini Mario Card
The Mini Mario Card is located on the right, atop a platform on the upper level. A Mini Mario must climb two consecutive Blue Ladders from its starting platform to reach it.
Goal Score
In order to earn a Trophy, the player must score 14300 points.
Plus Mode
In Plus Mode, the Mini Mario must be guided to the exit door first, followed by the Mini Toad.
Goal Score
In order to earn a Trophy, the player must score 13500 points.
