Thorny[1] is a spiked turtle enemy in Mario Clash. They walk left and right on the stage, much like Shellcreepers. Mario can defeat them by throwing a Turtle Shell at them from their sides to stun them first. He can either hit them with a shell again or kick them to finish them off. If he hits them in the face, they change directions.

In their artwork, they resemble a dark green-skinned Spiny with a single row of three retractable spikes on their black shells. In-game, however, they have a similar body shape to Spikes.
