Episode 1: Crafting articles on levels and browser games.

RULES:

1. No flaming or spamming.

2. Really, just follow the rules of the wiki. That should be obvious.

3. When responding with a "RE:" message, I'll usually put the same reply here, too. You can reply to either one. (If you have a preference, you can let me know if you want.)

4. The page will be given an archive every 50 sections.

My sandbox also has a talk page for discussing my projects. I'm likely to respond more quickly here, but you can message me wherever you want.

RE:Edit sniping[edit]

I wasn't aware you had that page in a queue until I tried uploading one of the greetings myself and discovered it was already uploaded. By then, I already had a full draft of the article ready. Sorry. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 19:19, December 9, 2019 (EST)

That's okay, I just didn't know if you knew or not. If you do, just let me know if you're continuing a project I spent too long on (I actually recommend doing this on articles I haven't started on). --DeepFriedCabbage 19:28, December 9, 2019 (EST)
OK, good to know. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 19:30, December 9, 2019 (EST)

Hey, on a similar note, do you mind if I create pages for those Nintendo Kids Club games? This won't include the Nintendo Kids Club article itself, which I see is currently under construction in your sandbox. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 20:32, December 11, 2019 (EST)

Sure, go ahead. So far, I only have progress on Nintendo Kids Club and Mushroom Kingdom Create-A-Card, so any Play Nintendo-related articles other than those two should be available for you to work on. --DeepFriedCabbage 20:56, December 11, 2019 (EST)

YCW Worlds/Levels[edit]

How's it going with those Yoshi's Crafted World level articles? I can make articles for the worlds, if you are busy with the levels. Please let me know. I also see there is a discussion page for your sandbox, and I can put these messages on there from now on, if you'd like. Lady Bow from Paper Mario. Green Star Lady Bow from Paper Mario. 15:37, December 13, 2019 (EST)

I've gotten farther, but I have been a bit slow with them; I suggest you make the level articles, because the world ones are much easier (and less time-consuming) for me to make. Also, I'm more likely to respond right away on this talk page, but you can use either one. --DeepFriedCabbage 16:27, December 13, 2019 (EST)

What is your friend code?[edit]

I have a Nintendo Switch and want to know if we could be friends. FireyYoshi (talk) 10:01, December 15, 2019 (EST)FireyYoshi

I don't really know you, but thanks for the offer! Read rule 7. --DeepFriedCabbage 11:00, December 15, 2019 (EST)

2020[edit]

Hello. Just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year, and good luck with all your projects. I look forward to contributing together next year. Lady Bow from Paper Mario. Green Star Lady Bow from Paper Mario. 20:06, December 31, 2019 (EST)

Thank you! I look forward to contributing to this wiki with you too. Happy New Decade! --DeepFriedCabbage 22:29, December 31, 2019 (EST)

Recent uploads[edit]

Hello. Please make sure that you use the extension 'jpg' over 'jpeg'. This is to create a standard amongst files, and is strongly supported in image uxe policy. Thanks! Trig - 12:26, January 4, 2020 (EST)

Ok, I didn't know that. I thought both were accepted, but I'll use 'jpg' next time. --DeepFriedCabbage 12:29, January 4, 2020 (EST)

Here We Go[edit]

I see you are hard at work on those YCW worlds. I am very close to finishing the game at 100% and I hope to start on the levels very soon. Just wanted to check in. Lady Bow from Paper Mario. Green Star Lady Bow from Paper Mario. 11:21, January 9, 2020 (EST)

Thanks for checking in! I got stuck on the last phase of Kamek Kerfuffle (in the game). I've taken a while on this project, so you can make some of the articles if you would like to. --DeepFriedCabbage 14:49, January 9, 2020 (EST)
You know, I’ve heard about that...is it pretty tricky? I heard the game is easy as pancakes until around that point. Lady Bow from Paper Mario. Green Star Lady Bow from Paper Mario. 15:51, January 9, 2020 (EST)
Yeah, the Go-Go Yoshi is a pain to control. I have to press A rapidly to punch the rockets away, but I also have to remember which spot they come from. --DeepFriedCabbage 16:13, January 9, 2020 (EST)
I finally beat the stage! Want to know how? Lady Bow from Paper Mario. Green Star Lady Bow from Paper Mario. 21:05, January 10, 2020 (EST)
Sure! ...Is there some kind of trick that I missed? --DeepFriedCabbage 10:09, January 11, 2020 (EST)
Not really. Just memorization. It really helps to get to the final battle with all of your HP. Also, at the end, not only do you have to button mash B Button, you need to slightly move Left Stick up and down. Once you beat the level, you get a special surprise! Hope this helps. Triforce Wiki profiles[edit]

Hi, so I remember once you wanted to add profiles for items on Triforce Wiki. I've been making a few item pages recently (the wiki is already over 200 articles), such as the Whistle, which has the Zelda 1 manual bio added, in case you wanted to know. Results May Vary (talk) 20:41, January 10, 2020 (EST)

Thanks! I've neglected adding those for a while. If anything that has a manual bio doesn't have a page yet, I'll just put it on my user page. --DeepFriedCabbage 10:09, January 11, 2020 (EST)

Re:Togezo[edit]

To clarify, the Kirby discussion was on the Spiny talk page, and there was general agreement. You can read it here. LinkTheLefty (talk) 07:35, January 15, 2020 (EST)

Thanks! I planned to look, but forgot to. I initially thought it was just a minor reference and they were different, bot now it makes more sense. It's the same as including appearances from the Zelda series. --DeepFriedCabbage 15:23, January 15, 2020 (EST)

Mario Kart Tour "text" screenshots[edit]

Hi, I'm just informing you about why I've skipped all the "text" ones so far: because I treated them technically as not screenshots from the game directly, the text was added on top somehow. But since we've begun to upload some, I don't really see the harm in it. When I have time I intend to go back and upload all of them (and even split the Official Twitter section into further subsections for each Tour), but I can't guarantee when that will be. MarioComix (talk) 22:56, January 16, 2020 (EST)

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I just thought it would be necessary to include all the screenshots, even the ones with text added. --DeepFriedCabbage 17:31, January 17, 2020 (EST)

FNC[edit]

The file, formerly titled File:Donkey Kong Jr. NES Cover.png is now File:Donkey Kong Jr NES Cover.png. It is used on your main page. Have a good one. A Hard Block from Super Mario World Wynn Liaw 22:51, Jan 17, 2020

Thanks! If there are any more file name changes, you can let me know in this section (until the page gets archived). --DeepFriedCabbage 23:14, January 17, 2020 (EST)

YCW Worlds & Levels[edit]

Thank you for letting me know. I am very close to beating the game itself 100%, and I plan to finish the other level articles soon (one a day). Once I’m done, I hope to improve the Yoshi’s Crafted World article itself in the hopes of it one day getting featured. Good luck with your next projects, and feel free to talk to me whenever you’d like. Lady Bow from Paper Mario. Green Star Lady Bow from Paper Mario. 21:28, January 19, 2020 (EST)

Thanks! I do plan to help out with the game's main article. --DeepFriedCabbage 11:08, January 20, 2020 (EST)

Color update[edit]

I have provided two alternate colors for the gamma image template. Trig - 17:23, February 14, 2020 (EST)

Thanks. --DeepFriedCabbage 15:02, February 19, 2020 (EST)

SMM2 Maker ID[edit]

Welcome back! I noticed you have your Super Mario Maker 2 Maker ID on your user page. I have played some of your levels and they're pretty fun. Would you like to try some of my levels? I only have one uploaded right now, but my Maker ID is KJR-8NK-PMG and the Level ID is Q86-R6C-GBG. It's a "short & sweet" "troll/mindgames" level, so if you enjoy those, you'll enjoy my levels. Lady Bow from Paper Mario. Green Star Lady Bow from Paper Mario. 09:39, February 20, 2020 (EST)

Thanks! I'd be interested in playing your level. --DeepFriedCabbage 15:27, February 20, 2020 (EST)

Fresh Juice proposal[edit]

Just making sure you know, but "Fresh Juice" is literally the name of Super Soda in PM64 in Japan, as given by Intelligent Systems. So it really can't be a "replacement." Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:27, February 20, 2020 (EST)

I know. It can still just be a replacement with the same Japanese name. --DeepFriedCabbage 15:48, February 21, 2020 (EST)

I'm not one to talk[edit]

But you might want to be a tiny bit less passive aggressive about this. Maybe at least approach the user a bit more civilly, if nothing else? --ExdeathIcon.png Lord G. matters. ExdeathIcon.png 11:22, March 19, 2020 (EDT)

Yeah, good idea. I tried to be as formal as I could on their talk pages, but I really shouldn't have those kinds of edit summaries. --DeepFriedCabbage 11:36, March 19, 2020 (EDT)

Regarding Mario Kart Tour and its content[edit]

Personally, the optimistic part of me is hoping it will do something similar to what Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled did and eventually just have it all available afterwards, though honestly, the chances of that are depressingly low at this point. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:18, March 23, 2020 (EDT)

Oh, you read my edit summaries. I think the filler is mainly there so Nintendo can stretch out the game's lifespan of adding new content. When they're done, my guess is they'll just loop the tours. Hopefully they won't just take the game down and rip off everyone who spent a lot of money on the game. --DeepFriedCabbage 13:22, March 23, 2020 (EDT)

Gold Goomba (Mini Goomba)[edit]

Where did you get that name? You created this article with a "ref needed" template next to the name, but the mere fact that you gave it a title that requires an identifier in the first place (as opposed to simply calling it "Gold Mini Goomba" and adding a "conjecture" template) suggests that you have a good reason for doing so. Why would you give it that name if you don't know where it's from? Dark BonesSig.png 02:01, April 4, 2020 (EDT)

The names for Gold Goomba (Paragoomba) and Gold Goomba (Goomba Tower) were from the Prima guide, and I thought Gold Mini Goombas were present in there too, but I wasn't entirely sure, so I included a "ref needed" template. While "Gold Goomba (Mini Goomba)" is a much worse name, I named it that for consistency with the other Gold Goombas. Looking back, I should have put in a "conjecture" template. --DeepFriedCabbage 14:34, April 4, 2020 (EDT)
Apparently, they're not in there. Regardless, there is no need to be "consistent" with Prima guide nonsense. If no official name exists, we should call it "Gold Mini Goomba" - the name any sane person would call them by. In fact, those other two articles should not be using those titles either. Dark BonesSig.png 21:10, April 4, 2020 (EDT)

Discord[edit]

Thanks for introducing me to discord. I have been making a series of mini-comics (about Luigi's Mansion) that I would be more than happy to share when the time comes. Lady Bow from Paper Mario. Green Star Lady Bow from Paper Mario. 19:54, April 14, 2020 (EDT)

You're welcome! I'll be glad to see your comics. --DeepFriedCabbage 21:34, April 14, 2020 (EDT)

Winged Timer Cloud[edit]

Quick question: when you made that article, do you remember if the name was mentioned anywhere in the game specifically, or was is it conjectural? LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:36, September 2, 2020 (EDT)

I don't remember too well about this, but I really don't think it was conjectural. I think it was on a website for the game, or mentioned in the game. --DeepFriedCabbage 23:29, September 2, 2020 (EDT)
The reason I ask is because I played the game casually and don't recall seeing it anywhere. I know it's not in a craft description. I don't see it on the website or in the livestream either. I might replay some of the earlier levels to see if I skipped a Message Block. LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:23, September 4, 2020 (EDT)

Checkpoint Bell[edit]

I saw you create the page for the object in Yoshi's Crafted World. By any chance, do you remember where you found the name for the item? Thanks. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 17:02, August 28, 2022 (EDT)

I wish I could remember. I think someone else might have added it to the Yoshi's Crafted World page before I created the article. If not, then I just assumed it was called that somewhere in the game, and it would be conjectural. --DeepFriedCabbage 00:24, August 29, 2022 (EDT)
