Dr. Mario Wii

Please check the deletion log for the previously uploaded file before uploading again. The reason your image was deleted is because it has been modified through the addition of an outline, which we don't allow on the wiki. Even without the outline, we strongly recommend against uploading poorly cropped images.

Also, keep in mind that image categories are added like [[Category:Dr. Mario Online Rx Images]] and not {{Dr. Mario Online Rx}}

copied straight from the code of my comment. Also, it should go after the double curly brackets, so it should look something like this:

Images

When uploading images, you have to click the "upload file" link on the sidebar and then follow the instructions there. Editing the no cover art file doesn't work. Doomhiker (talk) 17:19, November 10, 2019 (EST)

I didn't originally see that you uploaded the file normally, my mistake, sorry. However, you are still spamming the no cover art file despite the file you uploaded already having an aboutfile description, meaning that it is safe to assume that you are spamming the no cover art file on purpose. Very well, I will not do any edits or uploads anymore, period. The explanation is that I'm not versed with this editing format and still learning to do it. So naturally, there are going to be a few mistakes. I even had major trouble figuring out how to respond to your replies before being reported as a spammer. I uploaded the World 5.png properly, yes, and all I'm trying to do is posting it correctly. I apologize for the inconveniences and rest assured that I won't chang eor edit anything ever if it means running into trouble again.

Don't go will that attitude. However, you were literally, repeatedly, adding the same info over and over to a file that is entirely different from the one which you already had the same info on prior. Even if, while adding the image, you mistakenly clicked the no cover art file and automatically assumed that you were going to your own file, you would see the actual image and realize that you are on the wrong file. Plus, you need to click the edit button to add the description, meaning you would have to see the writing on the file and manually remove the information and add your own. Again, one time and it could somehow be a mistake, but after doing it over, and over again you would have to realize you were on the wrong file after maybe the third time. You did this five times. I'm sorry, but it is hard to believe that this was a mistake, at least the fifth time you've done it, and you have already proven that you know how to upload a file. If you are asking how to add the file to a page, then I can instruct you. If for example, there was File:Nocoverart.png, you would remove the link, not click on it, and then add, for example, File:Dr. Mario World World 5.png. Still, even if you were struggling to add this file, your repeated actions on the no cover art file don't make sense unless they were on purpose. Doomhiker (talk) 17:38, November 10, 2019 (EST)

Look, when I was new, I made awful mistakes such as this. However, that was one time. You did this five times. Anyways, I added your image (although I forgot to add |125px to fit with the images). Okay, I can see where you got confused. It seems like by changing the file descriptions, you thought the file would change on the page it was linked to. Files are used anywhere on the wiki, so if changing the description was all it took to change them, it would change the image on every other page it was linked to. All you have to do is replace the file name on the article the file is used on.

Thank you Admin for your kindness and understanding. That is exactly what I was trying to establish. Being indicted right away just made me shut down and go away. Had enough treouble even talking to other members since a noob like me has yet to figure out how to do that. All I ever edited so far were text passages, but images are another thing. I apologize to both of you for my sudden boost and will try to upload properly following the instructions of the page and Mario JC's/Alex95's instructions. Please have some patience with me and don't assume anything, I love Mario as much as everyone here and not the best editor evidently.

Glad we can start anew. Shall we resolve the last matter? The picture has been uploaded properly and needs to be resized in 125px. I want to learn how to do it, so please, tell me what to do in baby steps when I edit a summary in order to resize it.

Where it's at, the image is already the proper size. Size adjustment is done by just adding the size you want after the file name, so [[File:Dr. Mario World World 5.png|125px]]. I already resized it. You simply add |125px (or any other number) to the end of the image. For example, File:Dr. Mario World World 5.png would need to be changed to 125px. You need to add a | for each different modifier for future reference, so while not needed now if you wanted an image to be a thumbnail and be on the left of the screen you would add |thumb|left, i:e thumb|left. Also, I would recommend looking at the recent changes, (accessible on the sidebar) so you can see if something you did was changed or undone. Doomhiker (talk) 18:06, November 10, 2019 (EST)

Thanks for resizing it and for this information. I'll try eventually again with another image on the same section. Are we clear now that I didn't do anything to spam or casue trouble? If yes, then this matter is peacefully concluded and I'll contribute as much as I can for the community.

DMW world images

Neither are online at the moment but:

You've added an image to the page before, except this time someone added File:Nocoverart.png as placeholders for the world images to the page. You just need to remove [[File:Nocoverart.png]] from the row you're adding to and add the world image in its place. Editing the File:Nocoverart.png file page doesn't do anything. You keep editing the File:Nocoverart.png file page which isn't what you're supposed to be doing. You need to edit the "Worlds" section on the Dr. Mario World page. Remember when you added the World 3 and 4 images to the page? It's the same thing here, except you remove the [[File:Nocoverart.png]] part from the row you're adding [[File:Dr. Mario World World 6.png|125px]] to. Mario JC 07:19, November 18, 2019 (EST)

I finally understood what you're saying! Thank you very much, patroller, for your patience and understanding :) So next time I have a file uploaded and ready, I need to click on the "edit" next to the "Worlds" title and replace the nocoverart.png with the file name, right?
