Treeside Rumble is a minigame in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. It can be played through Story Mode or in the Game Room.

Gameplay[edit]

Gameplay

Tails must fight 60 Shy Guys while avoiding the spiked balls they throw. Tails can attack the Shy Guys with punches or rolling kicks. Once a rolling kick is used, Tails will start sweating, making him unable to do another rolling kick until he stops. Sometimes, a firecracker will be thrown by a Shy Guy at Tails. Once a firecracker is hit, it will defeat nearby Shy Guys. Light-blue Shy Guys are always equipped with firecrackers. If Tails gets hit three times, or if two minutes and 30 seconds elapse, Tails fails the minigame.
