The 'Shroom:Issue 212/The 'Shroom Spotlight
Hello, all you readers of The 'Shroom, and welcome to Spotlight. Spotlight is a community project which aims to fix up the articles on the wiki which have issues. These issues can range from poor writing, to a lack of images, to even just needing a credible source.
It's November which means no more costumes. Darn, I really liked making cuíca sounds. Once again, I would like to bring attention to this category which lists all of the articles with unsourced non-English names. There are currently over 17,000 articles within the category, so please chip in and help reduce that number. Now, let's go over last month's focuses.
It was a very good month as most of the focuses were completed. ThePowerPlayer (talk) created the Magic article, Nightwicked Bowser (talk) added all the needed images for Bonus challenge (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon), and Wildgoosespeeder (talk) added images of Ghoulish Grotto's Bonus Level. A special mention goes out to Technetium (talk), who not only added the source for the glitch in Vincent Van Gore's article and added Jack O'Goomba's trading card description, but also added the missing descriptions for the rest of the Super Mario Galaxy trading cards! Sadly, Lift Castle was left untouched.
And now onto this month's focuses:
Article | Category | Focuses |

Let's try again, this time with a different castle. Hopefully it won't be much of a hassle to get this minigame article created.
It's a bad sign when the navigation templates take up more space than the text. If you're familiar with the Mario Golf games, give this focus a shot.
Given the age of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, it's strange that the summary for Stuffwell's role is still incomplete. Go back to adventuring and finish what was started.
This image has perplexed me for the longest time. It's a clear view of Yoshi and Birdo from the title screen, but the title screen is a single image with no layers. So, where exactly does it come from?
With the recent release of Nintendo Music, now is a good time to bring attention to our recurring themes articles. Clearing this focus should be simple enough.
As you might not know, Mona, Jimmy T., Ashley, Orbulon, and 9-Volt all left WarioWare, Inc. prior to the events of WarioWare: D.I.Y. Is there any evidence in Game & Wario that they all rejoined the company? |
Now just before I leave you, I'd like to tell you about unimplemented proposals. There are currently eighteen that need to be implemented, dating as far back as 2021, so think of this as a continuous Spotlight goal until they're all completed. Additionally, there are many unresolved discussions that we would love to see come to some sort of conclusion. Some might have already concluded and just need the template removed, others have been waiting for a response for years.
Thanks for tuning in to the newest edition of The 'Shroom Spotlight! Be sure to turn up next month, where we'll be reviewing the progress on the above focuses. If you have any questions or suggestions about this month's set of the article focuses, then please get in touch through the dedicated topic if you have a forum account. If not, then please contact me on my talk page, but you are far more likely to get a quick response if you go through the forums. You are also welcome to make suggestions on what you think we could focus on in our next edition! Thank you, and good luck!
