Anyone who's able to implement a show-hide function, go ahead. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 05:59, 3 June 2007 (EDT)

When I'm back on my normal computer tonight, I'll do it and make it into 3 rows of 4 (let's be as even as possible). Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 12:08, 3 June 2007 (EDT)
Point taken, but how to handle the 14 entries in Template: SSBM Moves? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:12, 3 June 2007 (EDT)

I merged the two template, but I don't understand how to add the showhide extension on it. Someone with more coding expertise, help!Knife (talk) 14:14, 29 June 2007 (EDT)

I implemented the show-hide functionality, and improved the very messy coding of the tables, removing much superflous stuff. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:42, 29 June 2007 (EDT)

Okay...what about the other 11 characters in SSBM? I'll be happy to add them, but first I want to make sure that their moves are all made, as I don't wnt to go through the trouble of doing it and having half the links be red. Phoenix Rider

Only the characters who are newcomers in SSBM are listed in the SSBM section. Look at the SSB section, the other characters are there, with their SSB and SSBM moves versions listed. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:35, 17 July 2007 (EDT)
By the way, is this system good? Or should it all be said again in the SSBM section? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:37, 17 July 2007 (EDT)
Oh. Sorry. I didn't notice that part of it. It's fine then. Phoenix Rider

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

That isn't needed. We should wait til' the game is released, am I right? What do you think? My Bloody Valentine

I guess it doesn't hurt adding the moves that have been confirmed by the official website. Just keep it free from speculation. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 04:17, 30 June 2007 (EDT)
OK My Bloody Valentine

Pokémon Trainer[edit]

Most likely (this is speculation, but we're not adding it yet anyway), the three Pokémon of the Pokémon Trainer will each have their own special moves for Standard, Side and Upwards, and the Pokémon Trainer will only have the Down move, and maybe Final Smash. How should we represent it on this table? Leave out the Trainer entirely and list Pokémon Change as a move of all three Pokémon? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 08:37, 13 August 2007 (EDT)

I was just gonna suggest that. The Trainer isn't needed. BTW, the same should be done for the table on the main Brawl page. -- Booster
We'd still better wait until one of the Pokémon's moves are revealed. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:46, 17 August 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, might as well. It'll be barren otherwise. -- Booster

B move[edit]

Is B mode called because of B button, or is it just a term? I want to put {{button}} in SSBB part if it's button. SWFlashSWFlash.svg

Remove the SSB Moves Template[edit]

Ever since most of the Super Smash Bros. special moves have been merged with their owners, the links in this template are mostly redirects that lead to character articles. As a result, I find that this template is pretty much redundant now. With that said, I propose that we do away with this template.

Support[edit]

  1. M&SG (talk) - Per my proposal.
  2. Bop1996 (talk) Per proposal. We can leave a template for this to Smashwiki.
  3. RandomYoshi (talk) - Per Bop1996.
  4. B.wilson (talk) – per all.
  5. Magikrazy51 (talk) Per Marmalade and Salt Grains.
  6. Zero777 (talk) Per all
  7. Tails777 (talk) Per all. We have a template for the characters and all their special moves are on their pages anyway.
  8. New Super Yoshi (talk) There is a site called Smash Wiki, that is where they can find them in more detail. Per All.
  9. Bowser's luma (talk) Per NSY and the fact that it's huge, we don't need something that big on a page.
  10. Mario4Ever (talk) Per all.
  11. Mario & Luigi (talk) Per New Super Yoshi.

Create SSB Moves templates[edit]

The reasons above no longer apply now that all of the Smash moves have individual articles here, and we have a swath of articles without a home in a navigation template. This may not be strictly necessary, but I'll err on the side of the caution and use this proposal to override the previous one. I have a mock-up of the templates here, and I'm insistent on there being multiple templates, as the overlap and quirks between the games would make a single template impractical (plus there's a precedent with this proposal).

It might be better idea to organize it by character, as we do in the main Smash Bros. articles and in the instruction booklets. That way, it's easier to browse through the navigation template. I made a rough mock-up here, and I won't vouch for it. There's way too much blank space and too few links for each section. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 19:22, 17 December 2017 (EST)
