Grab Block[edit]
Is there already an article about those blue blocks from Super Mario World Mario could grab and throw away (official name Grab Blocks)? Can't find one; if it isn't there already, I'd make one... / Time Q 18:23, 3 August 2007 (EDT)
Same for the green Bonus Blocks... / Time Q 18:29, 3 August 2007 (EDT)
Deletion[edit]

Dice Blocks[edit]
Should Dice Blocks be removed from this template? I feel it is redundant to have them on here when a more specific template exists.--TheFlameChomp (talk) 19:27, 30 September 2017 (EDT)
- Could just have a "See also: Template:Dice Blocks" at the bottom. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:29, 30 September 2017 (EDT)
- I'd prefer mutually excluding them. There's a diference between a stack of bricks and a die; both of them happening to be called "blocks" doesn't change that. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 20:02, 30 September 2017 (EDT)
- Yes, I feel that they're different enough to fully exclude them. Should I go ahead and remove them? --

- I'm fine with that. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 21:28, 30 September 2017 (EDT)
- I still think a "See Also" would be better.... Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:29, 30 September 2017 (EDT)
- I don't feel "See also" is necessary, as we don't put those on other navigation templates that are similar (for example, {{SMR levels}} doesn't have {{SMR}} linked to it). --
TheFlameChomp (talk) 21:40, 30 September 2017 (EDT)
- But {{SMR}} should have {{SMR levels}} linked to it. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:26, 30 September 2017 (EDT)
- That's not a standard imposed on any templates. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 22:38, 30 September 2017 (EDT)

Decide what to do with the RPG items in the "Power-Ups" row[edit]

A proposal more strictly defined the definition of "power-up" on this wiki. This means Command Block, Vacuum Block, and Copy Block, outright cannot be outright cannot be power-ups, because they're items from role-playing games. (Unfurl Block gets a pass for being a field object.) This template is has a row for "Power-ups" and these items are on it. This injustice will not stand! /s.
Back to serious town, what to do with them? Obvious answer says they all get bumped to "miscellaneous", but technically the Copy Block can be considered to contain copies and therefore technically qualifies as an "Item block". This requires someone more familar with Paper Jam than I am to make a call. Salmancer (talk) 19:46, March 24, 2025 (EDT)
- In the case of Vacuum Block, you receive it from Broque Monsieur as a physical object that gives him a new power. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:50, March 24, 2025 (EDT)
- That doesn't really help its case. It's an item in an inventory that one uses in an RPG, and the proposal is pretty harsh. If Copy Flower isn't a power-up while Double Cherry is, and for context both items are things that grant the user with copies of themselves but Copy Flower is an item in an inventory in an RPG, then Vacuum Block under the current wiki definition can't be a power-up.
