Is this main series or spinoff?[edit]
The "Mario games" box at the bottom puts it within the super mario series but this has to be a spinoff i would think because it's just a battle royale-style remake of the original SMB...

- I'd personally categorize it along the lines of VS. Super Mario Bros. and All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros. LinkTheLefty (talk) 09:33, September 23, 2020 (EDT)
List of daily challenges[edit]
Do we really need to list every single daily challenge in the game? This game is going to be available for 181 days, and there are 3 challenges per day. That's going to total 543 entries and is going to make it a reeeeally long list. Shadow2 (talk) 02:59, October 11, 2020 (EDT)
- Yeah, I agree.

- Not to mention it's already out of date and it'll be difficult to get the entries that are missing. We should just remove this section, honestly. Shadow2 (talk) 08:46, October 13, 2020 (EDT)
- The section states the each day you can randomly get three of the listed challenges each day, not that three new challenges are created and added to the pool each day. Thus, there would not be 543 unique challenges, just the listed challenges, and thus no challenges would be missing. Regardless, we should never remove legitimate information just because it would be "too difficult" to cover, and a seperate page can always be made if the list is ever too long. Doomhiker (talk)

- There's absolutely no reason to remove legitimate information just because "it's too much information" (what???) or "missing entries would be too hard to find", not to mention both of these arguments have already been debunked. Even if it was true that it would be hard to find missing information, why should we, as a website dedicated to preserving knowledge of the Mario series, make finding that information even harder by removing what we already have and refusing to cover any of it added in the future? --

- This situation is very amusing as there is precedent of deleting an entire table of data about a game just because it wasn't up to date. Not saying I agree with it, just pointing out that no one opposed this change back then. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 11:58, October 13, 2020 (EDT)
- That change was made without sufficient discussion. Only two users commented on it, including the user who removed the information. No one opposed that change because no one except for two discussed it. Doomhiker (talk)

- Hm, not really hard to see how a change like that on an article for a game that was already 4 years old flew under the radar. Either way, I put the table back since legitimate information should absolutely never be removed from an article even if the data is incomplete (especially when that information is easy to acquire). Like I said, even if the information we don't have is difficult/now impossible to find, that's the last reason we should be removing information. --

- It might be that they're only from that pool, I haven't had any challenges not on the list yet.--

Icons[edit]
I understand that the order the icons are unlocked in a random order, however do you have to reach certain levels to get a new icon?
Shokora (talk · edits) 10:52, October 13, 2020 (EDT)
- To get them, you have to level up. (That's how I unlocked them.)

- Okay but is it at certain levels?
- It might be. Just today I unlocked my last badge at Level 50★. I heard from somewhere else they unlocked their last badge at Level 50★ too. So I guess all badges will at least be unlocked at that level. I have all of the badges now if you need me to write what they are or upload screenshots.--

- All good, I have the icons all ripped and will probably upload them later today. Thanks for the insight!

Image requested template[edit]
Should the image requested template be removed? The game cannot be played anymore.
Wynn Liaw 04:30, May 1, 2021 (EDT)
- I think the image example that's requested can still be sourced from gameplay videos.
Add lost template?[edit]
Since this game can't be played anymore, shouldn't we consider it lost media? --

- That would probably depend on whether the other discontinued games, such as Dr. Mario World, would qualify as lost media. I believe there was a proposal from last year which have an answer, but I couldn't seem to find it. Wandering Poplin (talk) 06:38, February 14, 2026 (UTC)
- In the talk page proposal for the lost template regarding what counts as lost media, the statement, "If the piece of media can't be experienced in its entirety on the Internet, but is owned by someone else who is not distributing it or prevents its distribution, it is lost media" was unanimously agreed to be a case of lost media. I think Nintendo's discontinued games would match this description as they can't be experienced in their entirety on the internet and Nintendo is both preventing its distribution and not distributing it. This was the closest case I could find regarding discontinued media. Should I create a proposal to decide whether discontinued media is lost media? -- Pizza Master (talk)
