Golden version[edit]

I was doing some research and found a golden version of this game Bobster (talk) 20:19, June 10, 2020 (EDT)

This is the page with the golden version? Perfection (talk) 13:13, 14 December, 2023 (UTC)

Update[edit]

Issue is, there's actually two gold versions. There's the Professional Course with 5000 copies released, and the absurdly rare Champion's Course with only 100 copies released. "Gold" as an identifier isn't specific enough. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 12:25, February 4, 2024 (EST)

Titles[edit]

While all but the "prize" variation of Japan Course have "Family Computer" on the in-game title screen, it is not treated as part of the title so much as a label (notably always being much smaller and in a different font), while the box arts do not have it anywhere near the title, just having "Golf" and the subtitle (both in on-off katakana). I feel the "Family Computer" should be removed from the page titles. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 12:14, July 14, 2023 (EDT)

I agree that it should be removed from both games. Not just absent from the box art, the sticker on the disk makes it obvious that "Family Computer" is not integral to the title.--Platform (talk) 12:32, July 15, 2023 (EDT)

Split Golf: Japan Course (Professional Course) and Golf: Japan Course (Champions' Course)[edit]

Brown Block This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit this section or its subsections. If you wish to discuss the article, please do so in a new section below the proposal.

split 6-0
Per my reasoning on the proposal I made to split the Picross NPs. These two games are sort of a Famicom Disk System analogue to the Donkey Kong Country Competition Cartridge and All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros., being special versions of a game that were able to be obtained via a contest. In addition, all of the holes were modified and are now more challenging.

Also, I really hope I didn't miscount the amount of proposals I currently have going/have not yet implemented.

Don't split (Champions'/Professional Course)[edit]

Comments (Champions'/Professional Course)[edit]

What about Golf: Special Course from Golf: US Course? I haven't ripped and uploaded those ones as I got sidetracked, but since I've gotten a more efficient way of ripping NES sprites after the SMB3 kerfuffle it won't be too difficult for me to do so based on my rips for this game. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:26, May 17, 2025 (EDT)

@Doc von Schmeltwick Yeah, I think that should be split as well. I was going to make a separate proposal for that one. Nelsonic (talk) 16:41, May 17, 2025 (EDT)
