Pinball Fall is a luck-based Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party 9.

Introduction[edit]

The camera, starting at the bottom of a hill, pans towards the top where the players are standing while also showing the layout of the field.

Gameplay[edit]

Each player picks a ball out of five that they think will reach the bottom first. After the players have chosen their balls, the balls roll down the hill. If a ball gets stuck in a hole, that player has to shake Wii Remote to escape. Along the way, there are also mushrooms and rotating blocks, off which the players bounce. The player whose ball reaches the finish line first wins.

Ending[edit]

A dejected Shy Guy finishes last.

Players run onto a podium in different spots, depending on their rankings. The player who finished last goes to a corner, disappointed. In the Step It Up version of this minigame, the podium has only one block.

In-game text[edit]

  • Rules"Choose your ball, then let luck take over as you roll downhill. Be the first to reach the bottom to win!"
  • Controls"Hold the Wii Remote vertically. Point at a ball, and press A Button to select. If your ball gets trapped in a hole, shake the Wii Remote to free it."
