“World 4 is a lush forested landscape teeming with life. Unfortunately, most of the forest inhabitants are far from friendly. Before you make it through the forest, you'll have to navigate your way through the mind-bending World 4 Ghost House.”
Official website

World 4 is a world found in the game New Super Mario Bros. This world is mainly forest-based, and features poison, which defeats the player with a single touch; regardless of what form they take. It has a total of twelve exits.

This world is only accessible by defeating Mummipokey from World 2 in Mini Mario form. World 4 introduces a lot of new enemies, such as Wigglers and Scuttlebugs. It also introduces Dorrie: a friendly creature who helps Mario travel along the toxic water. As with all the other worlds, Bowser Jr. is fought here in World 4-Tower. The boss of this world is a Mega Goomba, and defeating him will lead the player to World 5. If the player were to use World 4-Warp Cannon, unlocked via World 4-Ghost House's red-flag exit, then they would reach World 7.
