WarioWare Gold
This article is about a game that has just been released on July 27, 2018 in Europe. Major changes should be made by a contributor who has a reliable source. This notice should be removed after a month has passed since the game was first released.
Template:Infobox WarioWare Gold, known as Made in Wario Gorgeous (メイド イン ワリオ ゴージャス Meido in Wario Gōjasu) in Japan, is the eighth game in the WarioWare series, and the only entry for the Nintendo 3DS family. It was first released in Europe in July 27, 2018.
The title is a compilation of microgames from across the franchise, including a number of new additions as well. Many returning microgames, however, have been updated to new control schemes, scenarios and visuals. Overall, WarioWare Gold features 316[1] microgames, the largest collection in any WarioWare game to date, a record previously held by WarioWare: Twisted! for the Game Boy Advance.
WarioWare Gold is also notable as the first game in the series to feature fully voiced cutscenes. Most characters receive new voice actors, while Charles Martinet reprises his role as Wario in the English version.
Story
After stealing a golden pot from a temple at Luxeville, Wario comes to the realization that he is completely out of money.[2] While reflecting on this in his house in Diamond City, Wario sees a report on television about Super Pyoro; a new entry in the Pyoro video game franchise that fans are eager to get their hands on.[2] Acknowledging the money that could be made in the booming industry, Wario again sets out to capitalize on the video game craze.[2] Using his laptop and a recording device, Wario streams his latest scheme to the residents of Diamond City; a gaming competition with a steep entry fee, but a ten million coin reward to the victor.[2] True to form, Wario calls up his closest friends to do most of the work for him and again, they agree.[2] With his fortune on the line, Wario sets out to begin Diamond City's first "Wario Bowl" games.[2] Little does Wario know, there's a little girl named Lulu who's after him for taking the gold treasure.
Story Mode
Story Mode is divided into 4 leagues. The first 3 leagues all use a different control scheme: the Mash League (using the buttons like in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!), the Twist League (using gyro controls like in WarioWare: Twisted!), and the Touch League (using the touch screen like in WarioWare: Touched!). The 4th league is called the Ultra League and it uses all three control schemes plus a fourth involving blowing the microphone. The Ultra League is hidden at the beginning of the game and must be unlocked.[3] The first three leagues each consist of 5 stages, with each one having its own theme. The first stage is always an introduction stage hosted by Wario. The other 4 stages are hosted by one of Wario's friends and have one of the following themes: That's Life, Fantasy, Sports, and Nintendo Classics. All themes appear once in every league. In the Ultra League, there are 3 stages, including two "remix" stages which compile all the microgames from six of the previous stages, and center on two of the themes, and a final stage hosted by Wario's newest alter-ego, Wario Deluxe, which compiles all the microgames from the introduction stages and a brand-new set centered on a new theme: Anything Goes.

Challenge Mode
Challenge Mode features stages with altered rules. Challenge mode is unlocked after completing Story Mode. The following Challenge stages have been confirmed.[9][10]

| Thrill Ride | All the microgames are mixed together and only one life is avaiable. |
| Super Hard | All the microgames are mixed at high speed. |
| WarioWatch | Similar to its version in WarioWare: Twisted!. No lives can be lost in this mode. Instead, the game ends when the clock reaches 0. When a microgame is completed, more time is added to the clock. Microgames must be completed as fast as possible to get high scores. |
| Sneaky Gamer | Similar to its version in Game & Wario. The player controls 9-Volt playing microgames after bedtime while avoiding being caught by 5-Volt. When 9-Volt hides, he becomes tired, so he cannot hide for a long time. When 5-Volt discovers 9-Volt playing or when 9-Volt becomes too tired, the game ends. |

| Cruise Controls | Control the speed of Dribble and Spitz's taxi by tilting the Nintendo 3DS. The faster the taxi's speed, the faster the microgames are played. The player must complete a set of 15 microgames in as little time as possible. |
| Split Screen | Kat and Ana take turns at playing microgames. Kat's games are played on the top screen of the Nintendo 3DS, while Ana's are played on the bottom. There are no transitions between games, so the player has little time to prepare. |
| Battle Time | This is a multiplayer mode hosted by Young Cricket and Master Mantis. Two players can compete with each other and the first who loses all his/her lives loses. |
Microgames

WarioWare Gold is a collection of 300 microgames (not counting the boss microgames), approximately 50 of which are new to the series.[11][12][13][14][15][16] Each microgame falls under a specific genre – Wario's games, "Sports", "That's Life", "Fantasy", "Nintendo Classics" – and a control scheme – "Mash", "Twist", "Touch", "Blow".

- Eating Out: A microgame where the player must catch a pizza (or donut) thrown into the air with his/her mouth.
- Up for Grabs: A microgame involving plucking out a man's nose hairs.
- Make a Wish: A microgame in which the player must use the microphone to blow a dandelion flower.
- A microgame based on Balloon Fight where the player has to pop either 2 or 3 balloons, with a lightning bolt occasionally appearing.
- A microgame featuring the Love Tester, in which the player must take the boy's hand to the sensor sphere.[17]
- No Solicitors: A microgame in which Wario must block his front door to keep another character from entering.
- Walk This Way: A microgame featuring an alien model walking down the runway.
- Gravitational Pull: A microgame involving keeping an astronaut from drifting away.
- A microgame set in Rainbow Road in Super Mario Kart where Mario has to stay on the course while driving.
- Pit Stop: A microgame involving installing wheels on a racecar.
- A microgame based on Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island where Yoshi has to catch Baby Mario.
- Hanafuda: A microgame involving hanafuda cards.
- Thanks a Latte: A microgame involving a latte cup.
- Round It Out: A microgame involving smoothing out a rock into a ball.
- A microgame based on Rhythm Tweezers from Rhythm Tengoku.
- A microgame based on Dr. Mario where the pill has to be aligned depending on the others, similar to its counter part in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, but with gyro controls.
- Joy-Con Slide: A microgame involving attaching Joy-Con to a Nintendo Switch.
- Ride the Wave: A microgame in which a surfer must keep his balance.
- Top Notch: A cake decorating boss microgame.
- Top Off: A microgame in which the player must climb a wall using pegs.
- A microgame based on Pushmo where Mallo has to reach the flag.[18]
- A microgame based on the Mii Channel where the player must change a single element of the Mii according to the example.[18]
- A microgame based on Fire Emblem Awakening where Chrom has to defeat an enemy.[19]
- Labyrinth: A 3D dungeon crawler microgame.
- A microgame based on Manhole.
- 100 Meter Dash: A microgame based on a footrace.
- A microgame based on Pinball where the balls must be kept on the playfield.[18]
- A microgame based on Super Mario Land where Mario has to fire a superball at an enemy.[18]
- A microgame based on Super Mario Maker where an enemy has to be shaken.[18]
- A microgame involving browsing the Wii Menu.[20]
- amiibo Tap: A microgame involving tapping an amiibo to a Nintendo 3DS.[21]
- Over the Hump: A microgame involving pumping air into a camel.[22]
- Sticking Point: A microgame involving answering a message on an instant messaging app with the appropriate sticker.[22]
- Judo Pro: A microgame in which the player must take down a gorilla.[18]
- Fit for a Frame: A microgame involving taking a picture at the right moment.[22]
- A microgame based on Donkey Kong Country where the player must shoot Donkey Kong to collect all 3 bananas.[23]
- A microgame based on Wrecking Crew where the player must find 2 coins.
- A microgame based on Wario Land 3 where the player must guide Bubble Wario to a coin.

Similarly to WarioWare: Twisted! and Game & Wario, WarioWare Gold features extra content in the form of souvenirs, obtainable via the Capsule Machine.[22][2] These souvenirs are divided into eight categories:

Trivia
- Because the game is fully voiced, WarioWare Gold marks the first game since Mario Kart: Super Circuit where Wario is voiced by someone other than Charles Martinet, in non-English versions of the game (though Martinet does reprise his role in English-speaking territories).
