Pre-Userpedia-Sysop days The Summer of '08

Status: Busy. Very busy. I'm in my last year of highschool, so the teachers are working us like dogs, and my future hinges on good marks. Needless to say, my free-time has nose dived, and while I'm still editing the Wiki as much as possible, I humbly request that no one pays me courtesy-calls for the time being. If you need to talk to me about matters of the Super Mario Wiki or Userpedia, then go ahead, but I'm afraid I don't have time to simply chat anymore...

Well, I'm glad that at least both our computers can handle this place. Yeah, more MarioWiki conversations on the MarioWiki. I like that. :O :P Thanks! I appreciate it. It seemed rather sudden for me, (I'm still surprised when I see the 'manage user rights' option), but Time Q and Stumpers definitely deserved it. It's so funny; when I got promoted, the first thing it reminded me of was when you and 1337 became 'Crats. Great minds think alike. Wow! All those eggs and you guys didn't even know they were there; how crazy! So, are you going to keep the lizards when they hatch? I'd probably keep a few, but that's just me and my weird self. Ah, I'll have a look at it; if it has to do with templates, I gotta see what it is. xD </narcissistic> Well, I guess when it comes down to it, "Stooben" is my favorite nickname. I don't really mind any variations of my name that people use, except for "Rooby/R00by", for obvious reasons. Do you have any nicknames that you prefer to be called? I think I called you "Walko" at one point, but I dunno if you actually minded that or not. Yeah, it was a real quick change. When I told him some of the Sysop stuff that was going on, and the plan that I had come up with to resolve it, he said "i like this". He wanted proof that Stumpers and Time Q had been nominated, so I showed him a few comments that had been made. He demoted RAP and Cobold to Sysop, and promoted Stumpers, Time Q, and me (unexpectedly :o) to 'crat. I think Phoenix Rider also had a fairly large part in solving it too, so maybe between him and I, and all the other comments that had been made, Steve thought it would be best. Yeah, I always imagined you being the first female MWiki Sysop. Sorry it didn't work out that way. ;_; But hey, you can still be a female Sysop. :D Cool. I'd hate to think of all the little lizards dying; at least your keeping some and saving their lives. (Yes, I am an animal freak.) "Walk"? That's a pretty cool nickname. I never thought to call you that. Dunno why. "Walky" kinda reminds me of "Stooby"; it's a good nickname for lighthearted conversations, but when you get in serious discussions, you don't like to hear a childish nickname used. Yay! Yeah, I remembered that your computer had problems with certain sigs, so I figured I'd be best off with the template used on the proposals page. Me? Nah, I've never had any problems with sigs glitching up, or with ~~~ causing glitches. The only time I have problems with that is when someone forgets to add a </span> to their sig. Yeah, while he did promote Grapes without consent, I think I know why he did it. I had to promote Super-Yoshi at Userpedia as a temporary Sysop to help fight six troll attacks. Only me and DP were on at the time, and even we couldn't handle it. I think he promoted her for the same reasons. True that; you'll still always be the first female Sysop AND 'Crat. within the Mario Wikiverse, which is something to be proud of. I still say you'd make a good Sysop here though; you're contributive, active, and very kind. Good, I'm glad to hear you and your family are kind to animals. :') I always had some sort of bond with animals. 'Scept for bugs; I've had too many bad experiences bugs. ._. I think I remember that actually...was it Uniju that called you "Walk"? I tend to think that's who it was. Yeah, DP likes to call me Stooby, which is cool. Just like S-Y likes to call me St00by. So, I don't mind if you call me "Stooby". Yeah, just to give you an example of how bad the </span> coding screws up my computer: You added </span> without a <nowiki> around it, so I couldn't even access my talk page. I had to enter an address in my address bar that would allow me to edit my talk page. I did that to Stumpers once too, I believe, actually. Yeah, lots of images REALLY screw up my computer. True. Ah, you're right that you need to edit more before you can become a Sysop, but you're on your way. It seems like you've been editing more from what I can tell, so kudos. Yeah, the only bugs I like are the harmless ones like butterflies, crickets, etc. Lol, that was supposed to be an insult? o_0 Oh, no problem. I've ran into that problem several times, especially over at Userpedia. Wow, does my talk page run that slow for you? That's possible; plus the fact that they're in GIF format (which takes up very little space) could have an effect too. Yeah, I saw all your edits. Good job! I've also posted a message on the Mario Cartoons Pipe Project requesting that people help me find any references to Mama that I missed. Anyway, we have a very good number right now: every episode article that linked to Mario and Luigi's Parents is now mentioned on Mama Mario, so I think we've got most of them. RE: Proposal

Oh I definitely don't think you are a stuck-up snob at all!! You are one of the best users on this wiki and I very much enjoy working with you. To be fair, I think I was upset that in the course of like a day suddenly my proposal was going to fail, and I took that out on you, which wasn't right. I'm sure you meant that comment in a light-hearted way, but I blew it out of proportion. That doesn't mean it was the best comment to make, because potentially it could offend certain users. But still, I shouldn't have made it such a big deal and for that I am sorry. I understand where you are coming from now, and I only meant to suggest that without recognition, Smash Bros. fans may feel less included in the greater Mario community, not that they think Smash Bros. should be the focus of this wiki. I believe we should open up an inclusive community as possible while still holding Mario as our center. While I am a firm believer in an each element should have an article philosophy, I will stand by the proposal as it has passed. Actually, I realized what needed to be done was to change the Adventure Mode Enemies and Subspace Army articles into something more like List of Implied Characters, where you try to have as much content as possible for each entry. As long as the redirects lead to their respective sections in the bigger article, having individual articles for each enemy is not as important, as each section can functionally act as its own article. I am less opposed to merging articles as long as content is not lost, which unfortunately did not happen the first time around. So anyways, no worries. We're cool. =) -- Son of Suns (talk)

Despite your hectic school schedule, it seems like you've been able to get on everyday, be it here, Userpedia, or it's forums. (Although, I have to say that the UP Forums are on the hinges of death without Uniju, DP, or SmartyGuy there. Palkia and I are really the only ones that post as much as possible there.) You were sick? D: Ugh, that's horrible. You're doing better now, though, right? I hope so. You saved your lizard? Kudos! That's gonna earn you some massive good karma. *walks in late* I've been notorious for late responses lately; sorry. Hey, I don't feel so alone now. (Wait, is that the right term?) I have absolutely NO social life outside the MarioWiki and Userpedia. Every time I've made friends I've either: a) moved faaaaaar away, or b) found out that they're total liars. -_- That's probably why I'm here so much; I have nothing else to do! Aw, that sucks. I hate it when school gets in the way of having fun. I always thought that life pretty much turned into a constant errand after the age of 5. You go to school; you go to work; you die. ...How optimistic. :P Good; you're probably 100% better now though, lol. Awesome; I don't want to hear any tragic stories about drowning reptiles. ;_; Hopefully you're better at math than me, so calculus would go easy for you. Oh hi Walk, it's me, RAP. Oh don't worry about me, my vocabulary is already dead down (after a few weeks of crat' demotion); so you don't need to worry about "decoding" my sentences just to use your mind (no offense, you have a scientific mind to use :3) Also, I won't be talking to you very much from time to time, and that the unusual things about me; don't worry about that as well... How are you doing today? What about life since we haven't talked each other for months...? But most likely, how come you came to the wiki up this late? ;o A lot of things had changed, including me! For me, it's like I'm pretty much alone in the wiki; but has a few leftover friends which I will not mention (don't ask). Pretty much today I got Verizon FiOZ (internet and cable switch), hooray!!!!! I can finally watch G4 in my own room! The bad news? For the internet provider, I can't get into the #mariowiki chatroom! ;_; Someone has to fix that. :O Onto the wiki stuff... OK, I got like 30 THINGS TO DO in the wiki from my to-do list, and I'm afraid the list's going to have more things to do. Some of them is mostly personal stuff, but some others... it sounds like that it will take a month or two to complete one thing there. I'm afraid that I won't do the things in the wiki at all... :< I hope this comment isn't a distraction to you (since I can tell that your editing in the wiki), and if you see DP; say "Hi" for me. RAP... After I lost 1/4 of my vocabulary, I pretty much sound like Retro RAP; the fun version of me!! :3

Ah... I see, ;o People don't talk to you because of that status bar. XP Even tho, you seem to come to the wiki almost all the time. Me being alone? Heh, while I usually edit the pages by adding new images like the Bahamutt, Frog Coin, and the S.S. Brass image, and still had 30 things to do... I'm mostly in chatroom all the time, talking to my closer friends even in the late night (since the other users have different time zones). And even though I am not fully respected anymore (except for a few closer friends), I have access to some of the hidden goods that should be added to the wiki ASAP. If people in the wiki won't talk to me nicely, then why bother getting the goods from me if you already dislike me?! Yep... so... if you want to know some of the things I'm going to do, *grabs the to-do list*

• Links!? MAJOR RENEWAL! (the page duh, XP)
• Try to finish rewriting all MP1 mini-game articles.
• Check all the images from start to finish (takes a long time!) Use watchlist to keep track of all images.
• Bad glossary page = "I needZ an articlE upgrade kitz."
• Learn more about the wiki syntax for a better result.

Not responding much as well... but maybe it's because of some schedule change with the channel lineup on G4. Instead of watching my shows at 7pm through 8:30pm, I'm watching the channels from 4pm through 5:30pm... (Yeah, it kinda screwed up my schedule a bit...) I think it's either the cable or the channel itself messing up... The week is kinda slow, I haven't done much in the wiki sadly. But added a new entry in the to-do list, "Make a MarioWIki rule/guidebook." Is that too much? Because for some reason, at the same time it would require hard work to pin down the rules, and the new rules. On the other hand, there are so many disorganized rules around the wiki that users can't keep track of. And the other hand, I would make very funny examples of how the wiki would work... comically. *shifty* I'm kinda feeling a bit down, weirdly being under appreciated lately; tho I have things to back that up. Still... you have this situation before? Feeling down kinda makes me not do certain stuff that I wildly enjoy. That Games by Date page? (slightly reduces bytes from the page) XP Ah, many holes. But the problem is if we (as in both) delete most of the useless templates, what are we going to do with the existing ones? Add in more the stuff I guess? Arrgh, forgot to write this once in a while. ;o Apparently, I'm busy as well... avoiding the fail stamp. So... yeah. My current activities in the wiki is mostly image maintenance. You can tell that I tagged some images with the image-quality template. And others, I've send em into the furnace (delete em!) If you want to check my progress, here's a hint: Go to the userpage and stare at the string of numbers for a moment. And then... a USB. Yes. A USB... with about 300 images. But! I'm not finished. I'm going to beat Shrooby's record, almost 500 images in a day! >;o I have to reach there somehow... ;o Other than that, I don't feel very active, even if I have some spare time after school, or during lunch. Feeling sorta lonely I guess. (not like you and the anti-social curse your keeping)... or lazy (arrrgh... again...) I think I rather do something, like try to redraw all the 100 pages from my math notebook. It's FULL, of crazy stuff! I swear! :O (points the image to the right) I already redrawn pages 1 through 4. I'm working on the 5th page which is more than halfway done. *stretches and yawns* I'm typing this late at midnight, almost 2am. Nowadays most of us seem to forget the proposals, or new users never read them because they aren't too important right now/too boring. Well, the deadline's past. But Arend only voted at 21:47, whereas the deadline was 17:00, so isn't it technically a tie? In that case, what do we do? When in doubt, stick to the status quo, but as that and the opposition vote are the same, that's not really fair in this case. I've seen tardy votes and comments removed in the past when a proposal was archived, but should we include Arend's late vote anyway, to avoid a tie? (Although a tie pretty much sums-up the community's divided position on this...) - Walkazo (talk)
