Info

I honestly don't do much here anymore besides vote on proposals and direct The 'Shroom's Fake News and direct the Mario Awards. I do use the forum a lot, though. You can click here to see my profile and here to send me a message. To be honest, the forums are a much better way to contact me than here.

Game Ratings

Game Rating out of 10 Comment(s)
"Lights! Camera! Pants!" (Gamecube) 9/10 "Graphics aren't great, wish they were sort of 2-D like the cartoon (I'm talking about SpongeBob here) but I guess that might be a little hard. Overall, gameplay is nice and the minigames are all fun (...except Blisterin' Barnacles (because I suck at it))."
"Mario Kart: Double Dash!!" (Gamecube) 10/10 "The partner idea frickin' rocks! I personally use Baby Mario and Baby Luigi. However, drifting is really hard on this one compared to the Wii one (see below (once I make it)) and 150cc is hella hard. Besides that, A++!"
"Mario Party 7" (Gamecube) 10/10 "I love it! (Almost) all the minigames are really fun and the boards are original. I do wish there were more team names than Dolphin, Seagull, and whatever the other two are (I don't remember but I should)."
"Madden NFL 06" (Gamecube) 10/10 "QB Vision rocks! NFL Superstar mode is pretty neat, but your guy doesn't get enough playing time. Until Madden 07, there were only like seven generic defensive playbooks instead of the ones for each team. Only problem is that occasionally, the offensive linemen will appear to puff up before a play."
"NCAA (Football) 05 (Gamecube) 8/10 "This entire series has one major problem: the gameplay is so weird compared to Madden. The graphics are pretty weak (tons of grass picked up by jerseys makes them appear somewhat green by the end of the game) (don't even get me started on the fans), the marching bands don't have enough songs, but the funny modes like "Create a Sign" are creative and hilarious, and the game is fun as a whole."
"NHL 06" (Gamecube) 10/10 "As my first real hockey game (because "Backyard Hockey" isn't a real hockey game (although it is fun)), 06 rocked. granted, I got kinda tired of Jim Hughson doing the play-by-play, and I wish the goal horns and songs were right, but they did a darn fine job."
"Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Gamecube)" 10/10 "I'd give it an 11 if I could. Everything is perfect, from Rogueport (excellent main city, really detailed) to the sidekicks to the battles, it's pretty awesome and I actually can't find anything to criticize."
"Mario Superstar Baseball" 10/10 "The whole game was a great idea. Story mode could've been a little better (scout missions, for one), but it was almost flawless. Wish they had more characters."
"Super Mario Strikers" (Gamecube) 10/10 "Finally, a Mario game that's not all about power-ups. Okay, Super Strikes are important, but you're usually gonna have to score by just shooting and passing. Gameplay is great, and story mode isn't bad, either."
"Madden NFL 08" (Gamecube) 10/10 "Since I didn't get '07, I got to use the new kicking feature (cool but it doesn't make sense), leadblock control, and all of the new features since '06, and it was AWESOME. Nothing wrong at all.
"Wii Sports" (Wii (duh!)) 9/10 "Serves its purpose. Good for a starter game. Wish it had more modes, but you don't get bored of it for a long time. Not much else to say about it. The baseball mode could've been a lot better."
"Mario Kart Wii" (Wii(duh!)) 10/10 "Great! Almost everything was perfect! The only problem was how hard 50cc was compared to the other games. Good part of that is that there isn't a (very) steep learning curve between that and 150cc. Coolest part was the karts and bikes. (Although this isn't relevant, I find the wheel way too hard to use and just use the Remote & Nunchuk.)
"Madden NFL 09" (Wii) 9.5/10 "The motion control passing is fun, but they took away a lot of great modes like "Create a Team". I can't make a league out of 32 made-up teams anymore (for now) :(.
"NCAA (Football) 09" (Wii) 7.5/10 "Passing is nice, but there are a lot of problems. Instead of having their normal stadiums, all the FCS (I-AA) teams have a generic stadium, and a lot of teams (Tennessee, USC, Michigan, Ohio State, Cal (just to name a few)) have a basic bowl. Gameplay is still weird, and a lot of the jerseys are outdated. That aside, it's still pretty fun.
"NHL 2K9" (Wii) 9.5/10 "Gameplay is smooth, and (Sharks) broadcasters Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda do a great job. The goal horns are almost entirely accurate, and so are the goal songs. However, on-ice graphics aren't very good and the Franchise mode menu is pretty weak.
"NBA Live 09" (Wii) 9.5/10 "Gameplay is really fun. However, CPU teams never sub out their players and there are no alternate jerseys.
"Mario Super Sluggers" (Wii) 10/10 "I probably like story mode more than you do because I decided to unlock every player before facing Bowser Jr. and Bowser. The new gameplay features and characters are all really fun."
"Mario Strikers Charged" (Wii) 10/10 "All the new features are great. MegaStrikes are awesome whether you're the shooter or the goalie, SkillShots are crazy, and the metal ball is a great new way to score (hope I don't sound too much like an ad...D'oh!)."
"Super Paper Mario" (Wii) 7.5/10 "A lot of people are whining about how you have to fight enemies platformer-style instead of RPG-style. That's probably because it's the only way to fight if they bring in the new 3-D feature. the other problem is how all the places you visit aren't really civilized like on the old version (Flipside and Flopside could've been waaaaaaaaaaaaaay cooler).
"M & M's Kart Racing" (Wii) 5/10 "The game is (too) simple, and there's this pointless feature of collecting chocolate coins for no reason. It also takes a ridiculous amount of time to load."
"Super Monkeyball 2" (Gamecube) 8.5/10 "Certain levels are too easy and certain levels are too hard. The party games, while sometimes hard, are fun."
"Madden NFL 10" (Wii) 9/10 "I thought that hey had killed Franchise mode and replaced it with "Road to the Super Bowl," which is only playing games. However, you can unlock Franchise, Superstar, Situation mode, and more by typing in the cheat code THEWORKS (without the following period). Gameplay is still kick-ass, though. The stadium graphics aren't as nice as the other consoles."
"The Simpsons Game" (Wii) 9.5/10 "Some levels are annoying as hell, but the game is satirical and insults everything. My favorite level is Big Super Happy Fun Fun Game, and Mr. Sparkle PWNs."
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (Wii) 9/10 "I'm glad they put in more than just the stuff shown in the movie, but a lot of the stuff is the basic stereotypical stuff instead of the detailed, in-depth material."
"Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games" (Wii) 8.5/10 "Some of the events are great, but they're too short. We also need a larger variety of characters. Other than that, it's a great game, and can be fun in either single-player or multiplayer due to its various modes."
"New Super Mario Bros. Wii" (Wii (no sh*t, Sherlock!)) 8.5/10 "Fun game to play, but some of these levels are annoying! Plus, if you so much as go near an enemy, you'll lose a life. They could've made it a little less challenging. It would also be nice to have more places to save!"

Huge thanks to Dom for helping me with the table!
