Blowboat Battle is a Free-for-All minigame appearing in Mario Party: Star Rush. It is the only minigame in the game that requires the Nintendo 3DS microphone to play.

Intro

The finish line is shown that then pans backwards to the start to reveal the players standing next to it. The camera fades to the boat each player is controlling as a blower appears behind the boat.

Gameplay

Players have to blow into the microphone to push the boat along in the direction determined by the Circle Pad. There are toy Cheep Cheeps that swim in a straight line to the right and head back to the left and ball floaties that cause the boat to bounce off in a random direction when hit. The first boat to the finish line is the winner.

Controls

  • Microphone: Blow gently to create some wind.
  • Circle Pad: Change wind direction.

In-game text

"Use the mic to blow, blow, blow your boat!"
