Musical similarities[edit]

Hello. Please recall what's been explained here.

I should also note that anything with a few (unintentionally) similar notes is not considered a remix, let alone worthy of a mention on the article. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 08:28, 1 November 2017 (EDT)

"This game"[edit]

Please note that generally, and for the sake of consistency, "this game" in the "References to other / in later games" sections refers to the game in the list, not the subject of the article. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:00, 11 November 2017 (EST)

Trivia[edit]

I've noticed that you've done a lot of moving stuff from opening paragraphs into trivia sections, particularly name origins. You should not do this. Trivia sections are only for minor tidbits that don't fit anywhere else in the article. If something is in an opening paragraph to begin with, it probably doesn't need to be in a trivia section. Remix / arrangement[edit]

Please try to avoid misusing the term "remix" in cases where the more correct term should be "arrangement". A remix would be the same exact song but with some alterations to the original audio pieces (e.g. added beats, faster tempo), whereas an arrangement is a full-on "reimagining" of the original melody with different instruments. The term is often misused on articles so I don't blame you for going down that path, too; just something to remember for future edits. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:04, 22 January 2018 (EST)

This is referring to a rearrangement, not a remix. Please, don't misuse the terms after they've already been explained to you. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 20:24, 26 January 2018 (EST)

Reminder[edit]

Please stop making unconstructive edits on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Please stop placing information into trivia sections when they don't need to be. By simply placing it at the bottom of the page into a new section, all it does is needlessly separates it from the rest of the information. You've been reminded once about this already above as well as a couple of times in edit summaries. See MarioWiki:Trivia for more information.

Also, I don't know how you draw comparisons between two songs that have no similarities with each other, but please avoid adding such information unless you're absolutely sure it's correct. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 18:40, 26 January 2018 (EST)

Musically pleasing...NOT[edit]

Warning.svg
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (making unnecessary music Trivia edits) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

THIS....IS NOT.....ACCEPTABLE! In all seriousness, though, you have been reminded several times about the music information, yet you still don't follow up on this rule. As a reminder, "DON'T" revert someone else's edits without providing a reason, like the linked example above. That gets me "REALLY" irritating for me. Without a reason, people might assume it's vandalism or unnecessary changes. Do it again and things are going to go from bad to worse.

P.S. Sorry for the all-caps stuff, I just get annoyed really easily in certain scenarios...Owencrazyboy9 (talk) 01:04, 28 January 2018 (EST)

You could have not used the all-caps and bolding, you know. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:14, 28 January 2018 (EST)
Right. I get annoyed and iritated easily in situations like this. – Owencrazyboy9 (talk) 11:44, 28 January 2018 (EST)

RE: Zeldawiki links[edit]

They all seem to work perfectly fine for me, even the ones you most recently added. Is it every link or just a few specific ones, and if so, can you provide some examples? Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 18:21, 28 January 2018 (EST)

Every link. Just click on this link and see. Zelda Torey (talk) 19:01, 28 January 2018 (EST)

It should normally automatically redirect you to the Zeldapedia website. Either way, it seems only Porplemontage (talk) can change that, so you may want to contact him. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 19:36, 28 January 2018 (EST)

Bumping[edit]

You've been told this before on the article talk pages themselves, but please be patient when posting a question. You might not get an answer right away, it may take a couple of days. Please stop bumping your posts. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 22:40, 26 February 2018 (EST)

Again, please be patient if you're question doesn't receive an answer right away. Bumping your posts less than a day after posting them and saying something like "Hellooooo?" if your question doesn't get an immediate reply is rude and exasperating. You've been told a number of times to give some time for a response, as it's possible other users could have missed your post or just didn't have the answer then. If you continue to ignore those reminders and continue bringing up your posts out of impatience, I will have to issue another warning. Stop incorrectly using the word "remix"[edit]

You keep using this word where "arrangement" is more appropriate, please stop, it's getting tiresome. Reminder: It is only a "remix" if the original instrumentation/other noise is still present. If it's re-orchestrated, it's an arrangement. "Remix" is not an umbrella term, and I do not like seeing words used incorrectly. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:10, 9 April 2018 (EDT)

Info placement[edit]

Please don't place information under the categories and navigation templates; it should go above it. Thanks. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:39, 16 June 2018 (EDT)

Last warning[edit]

Lastwarn.svg
This is your last warning. The next time you break the rules in any way, you will be blocked from editing the Super Mario Wiki.
If you feel this last warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You've been corrected on this countless times already. Stop confusing the terms "remix" and "arrangement." Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:37, 30 June 2018 (EDT)

New songs[edit]

While I'm not against their inclusion, could you perhaps provide sources for the new songs you added? As the title is still upcoming, any information (especially from low-publicity sources, e.g. not the Direct) must be sourced, and they'll be removed if none is provided. You also didn't specify which Paper Mario battle theme. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:53, 18 November 2018 (EST)

First-appearance "references"[edit]

Not only have you been not referencing edits on relatively obscure information as you were reminded, you're still adding the same types of references as the ones that were removed already. While stating the artwork is used from a certain game is fine, first appearances of recurring characters are not references. You should also remember to check over your edits before leaving them, as you've been recently making a few careless edits (unfinished sentence; broken links). Consider this a final warning.
