I think it's about time to address the rename template that has probably been here for quite a while. From what I've seen, most instances refer to him as just "Rambi", including in the credits in the original Donkey Kong Country (along with all the other animal friends). This will also be consistent with how we name other articles with this type of title.

If we can't find a source for the "the Rhino" part, I'd agree, but we otherwise use full titles if the character has them. Unless you have something ridiculous like The Old Psychic Lady with the Evil Eye Who Reads Fortunes and Knows Everything Before it Happens. 01:32, March 22, 2021 (EDT)

The instruction manual for the Wii version of Donkey Kong Country calls it both Rambi and Rambi the rhinoceros. The first is in a section title. The second is in the section itself. Yoshi the SSM (talk) 09:38, March 22, 2021 (EDT)

IS Rambi specifically portrayed as a species, or is it just more than one instance of a Rambi-like character for gameplay purposes? I haven't seen how it's handled in dialogue yet but for all we know it could just be a generic identical rhino. Unless it's specifically treated like "Rambi" is a species all on its own I'd hold off and just mention "multiple versions of Rambi appear in [the race events or whatever]". It could be, but I'd say that's a bit premature to jump to the conclusion that "Rambi" is some sort of specific rhino subspecies. I think just mentioning that there are multiple Rambis in the event would be fine. BubbleRevolution (talk) 20:17, September 5, 2025 (EDT)
