Split page for Campus Challenge on NES and Campus Challenge on SNES?[edit]

I find it odd that both of these are contained in the same article. These are their own distinct competition games and the only thing these two have in common is the Campus Challenge branding. Worth not only considering splitting these two but also expanding the information. --Bro3256 (talk) 14:23, June 1, 2024 (EDT)

Split the two different versions of Nintendo Campus Challenge[edit]

Brown Block This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit this section or its subsections. If you wish to discuss the article, please do so in a new section below the proposal.

Split into Nintendo Campus Challenge (1991) and Nintendo Campus Challenge (1992) 7-4-0
Though these two games share the same name, they are two different games released on two different systems as part of two different competitions. The list of games included in each of these competition cartridges is also different, with no repeated games across the two versions. Because of this, I think the two different games should be split.

Split into Nintendo Campus Challenge (1991) and Nintendo Campus Challenge (1992)[edit]

  1. Nelsonic (talk) Preferred option. Per proposal.
  2. Camwoodstock (talk) Per proposal. It's really weird that these two releases are merged together, especially since it's not like the Nintendo World Championships games are merged to Nintendo World Championships--instead, that article straight-forwardly describes the events altogether and the individual games for it are split. Heck, we'd down to make this article (e.g. the literal "Nintendo Campus Challenge" page) be a summary of the events, a-la the NWC article.
  3. Rykitu (talk) Different games, different articles. Also more accurate with the title.
  4. Arend (talk) I pointed out this oddity literally a week ago on a different proposal. Per all.
  5. EvieMaybe (talk) two games, two articles. the year identifier makes more sense than the console one
  6. ThePowerPlayer (talk) The year as an identifier makes more sense here than e.g. Wario's Woods because it references the date of the competition, which is a historical event and is more relevant to the article than the game itself.
  7. Bro3256 (talk) I prefer the year identifier rather than it be tied towards the consoles.

Split into Nintendo Campus Challenge (Nintendo Entertainment System) and Nintendo Campus Challenge (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)[edit]

  1. Nelsonic (talk) Second choice. Per proposal.
  2. Arend (talk) Secondary choice.
  3. Hewer (talk) This option is more consistent with other identifiers we use, like with Wario's Woods or Mario's Time Machine.
  4. Kaptain Skurvy (talk) This identifier makes more sense to me

Campus Comments[edit]

Option 2 should be "Nintendo Campus Challenge (Nintendo Entertainment System)" and "Nintendo Campus Challenge (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)". Hewer (talk · contributions · edit count) 18:50, March 24, 2025 (EDT)

Sounds good. Nelsonic (talk) 18:56, March 24, 2025 (EDT)
