As implied by the the back covers of both books (in the "You'll also enjoy" section), "My Very First Nintendo Game Boy" isn't part of the title. Therefore I feel like it should be removed from My Very First Nintendo Game Boy: Super Mario's Adventures and My Very First Nintendo Game Boy: Donkey Kong Country to their respective titles without "My Very First Nintendo Game Boy."

  4. My Very First Nintendo Game Boy: Camwoodstock (talk) While we're still a bit fuzzy on the "board book" parenthetical (sure, you might want to be a bit more clear with a (novel) in the mix, it still feels a bit overkill and we'll likely want to put an "about" tag anyways, making using just (book) feel more acceptable), this is still better than nothing. Per proposal.

Shouldn't Donkey Kong Country (board book) be called Donkey Kong Country (My Very First Nintendo Game Boy)? BabyLuigiFire.pngXiahou Ba(the Nasty Warrior) 16:50, May 7, 2025 (EDT)

What's wrong with "board book"? Type of thing is the highest priority identifier. Hewer A Hamburger in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. (talk · contributions · edit count) 03:41, May 8, 2025 (EDT)
If we're understanding what is meant by "board book" correctly (e.g. the book itself and its pages are made of a thick cardboard-esque material), you could probably get away with just using the parenthetical "(book)", rather than "(board book)". It's not like there's a distinct paperback version with major versions we need to account for, and we can imagine the term "board book" being very confusing to people who have never seen one of those before. case in point, for a moment we thought this was about a book/board game hybrid, and it took us looking at the images real closely and remembering an old VeggieTales board-backed book we used to have as a kid before we realized that's not what this is about Camwoodstock-sigicon.png~Camwoodstock ( talk contribs ) Camwoodstock-sigicon2.png 12:02, May 8, 2025 (EDT)
I've asked because it's part of a clearly defined series (you see it on the cover of every board book) and I thought it would be more clear to anyone who may search for it than a generic (board book) identifier. BabyLuigiFire.pngXiahou Ba(the Nasty Warrior) 12:22, May 8, 2025 (EDT)
I'm not too keen about having the identifier just be "(book)," because, technically, there IS another book titled "Donkey Kong Country" (well...it's a novel, but novels are just a type of book). And again, "Type of thing" takes priority, so that's why I'm not too keen about "(My Very First Nintendo Game Boy)" either.
