Split the Super Mario World location from this page[edit]
This article is mainly about the location appearing in the game Super Mario Bros. 3. However, there is another location named "Ice Land," a one-time location that appears in the Super Mario World television series episode "Fire Sale." Though the two locations share the same name, the latter is more similar to the frosty underground levels of the game Super Mario World as opposed to Super Mario Bros. 3's Ice Land. As such, the information on its appearance in the Super Mario World television series should be split from this page onto its own page; as it is an entirely different location (and I doubt the location's appearance references the Super Mario Bros. 3 location).

Split the Ice Lands 9-0
So, this article has info about the "Ice Land" from the Super Mario World cartoon but it doesn't have anything to do with the one from Super Mario Bros. 3 to the point the article says it's an icy tundra called "Ice Land". As such, we should split.

Let's Heat Things Up! Option 1, Support:[edit]
- PrincessPeachFan (talk) Per proposal.
- Rykitu (talk) Different locations, different articles.
- Camwoodstock (talk) Makes sense to us. One's one of the SMB3 worlds, one's a part of SMW's "Dinosaur World".
- The Dab Master (talk) Per proposal and Rykitu.
- Hewer (talk) Probably a coincidentally shared name, like Snow Kingdom (The Super Mario Bros. Movie).
- EvieMaybe (talk) per all
- Maw-Ray Master (talk) Per my reasoning above and per all.
- Sorbetti (talk) Per all.
- Killer Moth (talk) Per all.
Stay Frosty! Option 2, Oppose[edit]
Comments (Iced Thoughts)[edit]
Considering "Fire Sale" is the pilot of Super Mario World with odd Super Mario Bros. 3 elements like a Fire Piranha Plant and Paragoomba-like Paragloombas, I always had a hunch that this was a leftover episode drafted for The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, hence Ice Land. Anyone know if the production info checks out? LinkTheLefty (talk) 07:15, September 15, 2025 (EDT)
- I can't find anything online. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 11:26, September 15, 2025 (EDT)
- The production codes don't seem to suggest that. The last episode of the SMB3 cartoon was 217-123, whereas Fire Sale has a production number of 225-102A. We're not exactly experts on DiC cartoon production codes, but the first half seems to be consistent across all episodes of a cartoon; a switcheroo would suggest Fire Sale having a production number starting in 217.
