Batteroid member?

I find the Sinister Blusterwing being part of the Batteroid species... weird. It's not like with Pauline where's she's actually turned into a rock (Odd Rock's infobox list its species as a rock), the Singing Blusterwing is just wearing a mask similar to a Batteroid. It's physiology or biology didn't change, its physical appearance is the same 'ol bird under that mask and Gloo Gum. didn't turn into a bat. still a bird under that bat-like mask. Or I'm missing something, educate me. --Ken17 (talk) 06:23, August 30, 2025 (EDT)

The Batteroid-like Mind-Bender Mask + Gloo Gum wings makes it appear like the boss is supposed to be a boss version of the Batteroid, like how Stompenclomper is a boss version of the Stompoid, King Crockoid is a boss version of the Crockoid, and Peekabruiser is a boss version of the Peekaboopoid. So in that light, it makes sense to consider the Sinister Blusterwing as a Batteroid, especially since the Gloo Gum and mask completely hide the Blusterwing's true appearance anyway. I guess. He's a bird in bat's clothing. --Ken17 (talk) 03:08, August 31, 2025 (EDT)
looking at it from a lore perspective, it's ambiguous whether we should. looking at it from a gameplay perspective, however, Blusterwing is absolutely a boss Batteroid. having a bird under the mask is not very relevant in that regard. — Super Leaf stamp from Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.eviemaybe (talk / contributions) 13:35, August 30, 2025 (EDT)
