Room 3-1 (titled Room 2-1 in the British English version) is the first course of Pipe Works in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. This level introduces Rotate Pipes.

The course features two Mini Marios.

Overview[edit]

The two Mini Marios start out on opposite sides at the bottom of the course. Above them are a row of Coins on the left and a Yellow Spring on the right, and in the middle of the course is a four-way Warp Pipe with a curved Rotate Pipe segment in the center. The vertical portion of the four-way pipe leads to the top level, which has red and yellow Color Switches, a red bridge, and a yellow gate. In between the top level and the horizontal portion of the four-way pipe is another horizontal Warp Pipe, and on the right of this pipe two colored bridges: one yellow and one red, with a pit of Spikes below the red bridge. The exit is on the left side of the horizontal pipe, behind a red gate; to reach it, the Mini Marios must step on a red switch to extend the red bridge at the top, then step on the yellow switch and travel through the horizontal Warp Pipe.

Mini Mario Card[edit]

The Mini Mario Card is located near the top right of the level, above the red bridge and the pit of spikes. To obtain it, the player should follow the same route to the Goal Door, but they should avoid stepping on the yellow switch. They should then have the Mini Mario fall onto the red bridge and into the Mini Mario Card.
