Room 2-7 (titled Room 1-7 in the British English version) is the seventh course of Tropical Island in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. This level introduces Crumble Blocks.

The course features two regular Mini Marios and one Gold Mini Mario.

Overview[edit]

The two normal Mini Marios start out on the left atop a girder, while the Gold Mini Mario starts on the right near a row of Crumble Blocks and directly above a room with a Piranha Plant and two Warp Pipes. In the middle of the level is a body of water containing four rafts, and to the right of it another Piranha Plant. The Goal Door is located in a room at the top left of the level, above the two Mini Marios. To reach it, the player should first remove the Pink Blocks from below the Piranha Plant near the body of water, then place them in front of the Piranha Plant at the bottom before it spits out a fireball. They should then tap the Gold Mini Mario so it destroys the Crumble Blocks and guide it into the bottom right Warp Pipe to send it into a room at the top, then guide it into the pipe at the left of said room so it emerges into the room with the Goal Door and enters it. Next, the player must remove the Pink Blocks below the Goal Door and place them below the Piranha Plant in the middle, then tap the two regular Mini Marios to lead them across the rafts and into the bottom right Warp Pipe. The player should then remove one of the Pink Blocks they placed in front of the Piranha Plants and place them below the Goal Door before they lead the two Mini Marios into the top left Warp Pipe and to the door.

Mini Mario Card[edit]

The Mini Mario Card is located at the bottom left of the level, in a room with two Warp Pipes and a Yellow Spring. To obtain it, the player should have one of the Mini Marios jump when it is on the middle two Crumble Blocks so that it enters a Warp Pipe; this takes it to a room at the top right. The player should then lead the Mini Mario into the pipe at the right so it enters the bottom left room and picks up the Mini Mario Card. Alternatively, the player can also place Pink Blocks in front of the Piranha Plant at the bottom, then walk the Gold Mini Mario across the Crumble Blocks and into the left pipe at the bottom right; this leads it into the Mini Mario Card, where it will immediately bounce off the Yellow Spring.
