What was this video reference supposed to be for? If there is a certain point in the video that's to be specified, I can include that for you. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 17:47, 9 November 2016 (EST)

Removing Comments From Your Talk Page

Hello! I saw that you edited someone's comment off your user talk page. Unfortunately, according to the rules that is not allowed on this wiki. If you could please refrain from this in the future, that would be most appreciated. Thank you! (Don't worry, this isn't a formal reminder or warning.) Personal Image

File:4000 screenshots 20160910145026 1.jpg was tagged with {{personal-image}} because of a policy. Be sure to follow that in the future for all your personal images. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 18:12, 10 December 2016 (EST)

Oops! Forgive me

Sorry for the mistakes! Still new to wikis. Thanks for feedback! :)

I'm still having trouble signing my signature, can someone help me and give me an example? Thanks :)

Just enter four of these symbols in a row: ~ That will give you your signature and a time stamp. Like this (Lava Spire Daredevil Run 11:16, 11 December 2016 (EST)). And don't worry about the newbie mistakes, we all make them! Just look at my talk page. :) Lava Spire Daredevil Run 11:16, 11 December 2016 (EST)

Thank you so much! Thanks for feeling empathy for me :) The people here are so nice!

RE: PLEASE READ!

Hello! Don't worry about making mistakes, everyone makes them. As long as you learn from them and not let it get the better of you, you'll be fine. :)

  1. As Topmaniac (talk) above said, just put in three tildes (~) after your message, four if you want to include the timestamp, which is recommended. As for creating your own unique signature, you have to create a new page labeled something like User:Titanica25/sig. For example, mine is located on User:Alex95/sig. By typing in the three tildes, the signature will automatically be placed. Science! Keep in mind that the signature must fit within the sigbox:

Just my avatar flying in a bigcity (bonus points if you know what game the character and map is from!).

  1. I'm not too experienced with pulling images from the internet (I'd much rather just upload images of my own), but yes, credit should be given if a source is provided. Be sure to check if said image is already on the wiki, though. We don't want duplicates of images floating around. This wiki is a source of information, which includes images. If Nintendo shows an image, it's our job to include it in the galleries. Sometimes we'll place a picture on an article, but only if said pic is related to the subject and it helps viewers understand the subject better.
  2. While many users strive to be promoted (I'm shooting for a Patroller rank myself :P), it doesn't happen very often. Best thing you can do is just keep doing what you're doing. If the higher-ups think you're experienced enough, they will call you. You can view this page for more info.

If you ever need help, don't hesitate to ask, and the welcome template above provides more than enough information to help you become a better user. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:11, 11 December 2016 (EST)

EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention was that your sig must include a link to your userpage. A link to your talk page would also be helpful. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:33, 11 December 2016 (EST)

Thank you so much!! I'll try to read the template more. One last question though: must I give credit to anything that is public domain?

I don't think so. You can if you want to, but I don't think you have to? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:46, 11 December 2016 (EST)

Don't go too crazy with uploading non-Mario images. These images are usually credited as Personal Images, of which, you're only allowed four and the Sonic running gif you've uploaded would be credited as such. In fact, if the six images you've uploaded (aside from the bananas) were marked as personal images, we'd have to mark two up for deletion. While you may be uploading them for public domain, they should still be classified as personal images under the user who last used them (you). Sorry, that's just how things are. What would you like to do? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:02, 11 December 2016 (EST)

Hmm. Ok. First of all, how do mark them as personal images? And would Mario-Images NOT count as personal images?

Also, would Nintendo-Related images count as personal images as well????
