Fish

Why is this page's title "Fish (Balloon Fight)", though there is even no article named "Fish"? In my opinion, this can be moved to "Fish". And the name isn't pure conjecture, the fish has always just been known as "fish" (source: Balloon Fight manual). --Grandy02 10:36, 25 July 2008 (EDT)

There once was an article named "Fish", but it got deleted. Looks like this article should be moved indeed. Time Questions 18:44, 25 July 2008 (EDT)

Merge Fish (Balloon Fight) with Summit

The Fish from Balloon Fight is only a stage element, just like the Ultimate Chimera and Kraid. I see no reason for it to have its own article, since it's not even a Mario Universe character. Basically, merge it to the Summit stage.

Proposer: M&SG (talk)
Deadline: May 17, 2011, 23:59 GMT

Support

  1. M&SG (talk) - Per my proposal.
  2. Mario4Ever (talk) Per proposal.
  3. Tails777 (talk) Per proposal.
  4. Magikrazy51 (talk) Per M&SG and myself (because of my Whispy Woods proposal).
  5. Zero777 (talk) Per [previous] proposals.
  6. Reddragon19k (talk) Merge it! Per all.

Oppose

  1. yoshiyoshiyoshi (talk) It isnt just a stage hazard in brawl. It also appears in wario ware. It's also not a stub.
  2. Bop1996 (talk) There have been 3 proposals now concerning this type of merge. In the Ultimate Chimera merge, there was no other appearance whatsoever aside from as a stage hazard. In the Whispy Woods proposal, there is an appearance in a Club Nintendo comic by the Whispy Woods with lines and everything, and that would not work well (imo) on a stage article. In the Kraid proposal, there is trophy information and an appearance in Nintendo Monopoly, but Mario4Ever pointed out a way to integrate that without making the article look bad. In this case, the appearance in the WarioWare games would be hard to integrate in a pleasing way into a stage article, so I am opposing it. It's not based on appearance as a stage hazard, it's based on what other information is in the article.
  3. Walkazo (talk) - Per Bop1996.
  4. Goomba's Shoe15 (talk) - Per Bop1996
  5. UltraMario3000 (talk) Per Bop.
  6. kirby9612 (talk)If this is merged, the fish article will be extinct.

Comments

But it also appears in the Wario Ware games right Goomba's Shoe15 (talk)

We should just merge all minor stage hazards like this one with the stages they appear in. Tails777 (talk)

Why that makes about as much sense as merging all minor npcs with the location they appeared in Goomba's Shoe15 (talk)

@Goomba's Shoe15 Concerning the WarioWare information, it will most likely be incorporated into the stage article in a similar fashion to the incorporation of Kraid's cameo in Nintendo Monopoly into Brinstar Depths (see here). Mario4Ever (talk)

@Magikrazy51 your proposal didnt pass because when you archived it the tally was 10-8 which is only a margain of two votes however, rule 6 states If a proposal has more than ten votes, it can only pass or fail by a margin of three votes. If a proposal reaches the deadline and the total number of votes for each option differ by two or less votes, the deadline will be extended for another week. Goomba's Shoe15 (talk)

A little late for that, n'est-ce pas? Mario4Ever (talk)

I would of asked sooner but i figured that either the rule meant that if each side had more than 10 votes or that talk pae proposals were exempt from the rule neither of which is true Goomba's Shoe15 (talk)

But that's not right because the micro games take place at open sea not the stage also we don't have bulborbs merged with Distant planet Goomba's Shoe15 (talk)

The deadline was wrong: this was proposed on May 3, and so it ends 2 weeks later on the 17th. - Walkazo 15:15, 5 May 2011 (EDT)
