Talk:Ultimate Chimera

This is kind of minor for SSB. HyperToad

Yeah, this doesn't deserve its own article :| Glitchmansig.PNG Glitchman (talk · contribs) Glitchmansig.PNG
Why not? We have articles for Palkia, Dialga, and Cresselia. f_cm_767603a.pngChaos NEEDS MOAR NINJI f_cm_767603a.png

I thought of making a "Purge" proposal for random SSB characters (Like Tingle, Octorok or the random Star Fox members), but abject laziness prevented me from doing it. Definitely merge this. --Blitzwing 15:14, 16 June 2008 (EDT)

I say we merge it, because it IS on the New Pork City stage. User : Caf772000 20:17, 24 Feburary 2011

Merge Ultimate Chimera with New Pork City[edit]

Settledproposal.svg This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal.

MERGE 12-1

This needs to be merged, as this article has little bearing on the Mario series, being an Earthbound/Mother series enemy, and just an environmental hazard the one time it appears. It could just as easily be mentioned in a paragraph on the New Pork City article if it isn't already.

  9. Ultrahammer5365 (talk) Per proposal.
  10. LeftyGreenMario (talk) A stage hazard featured in the Bridge of Eldin was successfully merged with the article from a past proposal. If that is merged, why not this? Leave it to WikiBound for more coverage.
  11. Magikrazy51 (talk) Per Bop's article. I'll keep an eye out for any other articles like this.
  12. Mario4Ever (talk) Per all.

Oppose[edit]

  1. Bowser's luma (talk) It isn't just some thing in the scenery of the stage; it's an opponent of its own in a sense. It deals damage, and has an impact in the stage and any fights there. It should be kept.

Comments[edit]

While I agree with your proposal, your reasoning is flawed. In fact, it's flimsier than a strand of string. We have a bunch of articles on characters from other series, so that logic won't work. --Reversinator 20:58, 27 February 2011 (EST)

I thought that since it only appears in one stage, and not in the Subspace Emissary, it is basically a walking instant KO. It is only important in the Earthbound/Mother series. In short, if we have an article for this, we should have an article for King Bublin and the Parasite Queen as they are just environmental hazards from other series with no role otherwise in Brawl, or mention in another Mario game. The characters you mention have roles in the Subspace Emissary and are playable, so they deserve their own articles. I changed the proposal within the first the three day limit as per the rules, and thanks for pointing this out, it really helped! @Magikrazy51: They have not, or not anymore. Did you even check those links above? They are redirects to the Pokémon article. Your argument is invalid. - Edofenrir (talk)

@Magikrazy: Palkia and Dialga don't have articles, Slippy is major enough and Whispy should be merged as well. Nuff said. --Reversinator 09:08, 28 February 2011 (EST)
So let me get this straight, Chaos Ninji LIED to me? Anyway, what about polar bears?Magikrazy51 (talk)
It's an old edit. If that's sarcasm, whatever. And Polar Bear covers multiple polar bears, so that goes there. --Reversinator 14:46, 3 March 2011 (EST)

@Bowser's Luma: You cannot damage it, there is no trophy, and it randomly appears on the stage. The only way to kill it is to destroy the floor underneath it. The main debate seems to be whether or not the Chimera is important in Brawl, and since its only interaction with the player is an instant KO or falling off a cliff, it is not in the line of enemies from other series that are important in Brawl. All the article is is two paragraphs detailing the stage it appears in, what can be done to it, and what it does. In short, as I said, it is a walking KO, with no real interaction possible outside of running into it and getting KO'd or knocking it off the cliff temporarily. Geekiness is an end, not a means - Bop1996 21:26, 28 February 2011 (EST)

Whispy Woods has a trophy, but other than that it's exactly the same w/ Ultimate Chimera and both have their own article.Magikrazy51 (talk)
Like I previously said, Whispy Woods should be merged as well. --Reversinator 15:41, 4 March 2011 (EST)
@Magikrazy: Please see this for more information on what I and several other users (I came up with this) have argued on several proposals. --Bop1996
Well, this seems to be in order, Bop. I'll change my vote. And maybe start a Whispy Woods merging proposal (if Reversinator doesn't first). Magikrazy51 (talk)
Thanks, Magikrazy! If you are looking for more articles/proposals such as this, check out the Ridley/Meta Ridley proposal and vote oppose please. Just look at the comments and you'll see my reason for opposing it. Bop1996 (Talk)

@Bowser's luma: I think it would be safe to classify the Chimera as an obstacle, rather than an enemy. Marioguy1 (talk)
