In Donkey Kong 64, three Steel Barrels appear in a mill in Fungi Forest; Chunky Kong would need to destroy these three Steel Barrels in a time limit using a grinder to obtain a Golden Banana. Steel Barrels also appear in the game Donkey Konga. In a certain mini-game, the player uses a Steel Keg to bash King K. Rool in the head.
Steel Barrels are scheduled to appear in the upcoming racing game Donkey Kong Barrel Blast.
