Bell Tree & adding its own page

Also, I noticed on the page above that the Bell Tree is added for the Super Mario 3D World theme. Someone should make a page for that and list Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario Maker 2 as including them. B700465189a9 (talk) 18:32, 13 February 2019 (EST)

I agree with this, though I don't think "Bell Trees" are their official names. Multiple articles call them "Beanpoles", but I don't know if that's their official name either. --RedShellNSMB.png BeingAwesom RedShellNSMB.png (talk · contribs) 21:05, 20 February 2019 (EST)
I researched a bit and found that they are referenced as 'Beanpoles' in level names, but never found them actually being referred to as such.B700465189a9 (talk)
Mount Beanpole, but it may not be referring to the trees. It could just be saying it's a tall and skinny mountain. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:59, 20 February 2019 (EST)
After looking at the Japanese name, you're right. Ashley costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 03:48, 21 February 2019 (EST)

Series Page

Considering the fact that the 2 games in the series (3 counting ports) shouldn't a Super Mario Maker series Page be created? Fawful (talk) 19:36, 13 February 2019 (EST)

They're part of the Super Mario series. I'd say it might deserve it, but so does the New Super Mario Bros. subseries. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:38, 13 February 2019 (EST)

"Circus" Theme

Hello, and what a Moe-rvelous Mario Moe-ker 2 announcement we had today! I noticed on the wiki page that one of the confirmed themes is listed as being "Circus", presumably from the scene with the Banzai Bills at 1:10 (in the official Nintendo video). I believe that this is a little bit Moe-sleading. The correct theme title, I think, would be "Night", for Moe-ltiple reasons. Reason one is that the "circus" theme is not a recurring theme in many Mario games (really only Super Mario 3D World). However, night is a recurring theme which was not included in the original Super Mario Maker. I believe that the circus aesthetic was simply applied to the "Night" theme, as the two often coexisted in levels such as Spiky Spike Bridge, Footlight Lane, and, obviously, World Bowser itself. Reason two is that at 1:14 in the same video, the "Night" theme is shown in the New Super Mario Bros. U style, with no circus in sight. Reason three, which may tie in to reason two, is that at 0:43 in the video, the winter theme is shown in the New Super Mario Bros. U style as well... but strangely it takes place during the daytime, per New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Why would they change it... unless they wanted to differentiate the "Night" theme from the winter theme? After all, the constellations at 1:14 are taken right from the sky of World 4 of NSMBU. Obviously, the trailer hasn't even been out a day, and so Moe-ch is still left in conjecture. None of this is proven. Plus, there are a few things which might make me reconsider. The platforms and conveyor belt at 1:10 do look awfully "circus-y", and there were some Moe outwardly "night-y" themes in Super Mario 3D World, like in Puffprod Peaks or Super Galaxy. Maybe this is a new "Sky" theme outside of the airships, or "Fog", or maybe even each game style will have one unique theme! There's no way of knowing! But as of now, a better guess seems to be the "Night" theme. Thus, I have made that edit. Anyone who wishes to dispute may, but these are my reasons. Thanks for reading, MOSES THE MOE-EYE --Moe-Eye (talk) 21:13, 14 February 2019 (EST)

Chain-Link Uncertainty

The current listing on the page suggests that Chain-Links were added to the course creator, but the only object that most closely resembles it looks more like a semi-solid platform to me. It seems more likely that the Cat power-up has the ability to scale up semi-solid platforms as if they were walls. Does anyone have objections to this adjustment? --MissingNumbers (talk) 23:33, 14 February 2019 (EST)

I'd say wait until we have more information regarding that. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 23:51, 14 February 2019 (EST)

Coin Totals

I highly doubt that the "4/100" coin thing is the total amount of coins in the level. It is much more likely to be an objective, considering we can see the same number next to a "goal"-like symbol. So, it's probably the number of coins needed to beat the level. WarioLandGoldPiramid (talk) 12:21, 15 February 2019 (EST)

Person who added the gameplay section here: I never stated in the article that it was the total amount of coins in the level, only "out of a specific number". Ashley costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 08:12, 16 February 2019 (EST)

Colored pipes

While it's true that we can see a red pipe, both in the trailer and in the artwork, here's one thing worth mentioning: the red pipes seemed to be generating enemies more frequently than a green pipe would. So, it is possible that green and red are the only available colors, and that it's only meant for choosing the speed of generating enemies. WarioLandGoldPiramid (talk) 12:21, 15 February 2019 (EST)

It's also possible you could set the rate of generating enemies yourself, and the color not having anything to do with it and just being a cosmetic choice. Though I do think we should list the colors that have been shown instead of assuming there will be "various colors". Ashley costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 08:12, 16 February 2019 (EST)

Missing Japan cover art.

Where's Japan cover art?

Benjaminkirsc (talk) 18:51, 17 February 2019 (EST)

We'll get it when Nintendo releases it. Ashley costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:06, 17 February 2019 (EST)

Online Futures?

Is it known yet? It's nowhere to be found on the page. Thanks. SnowWolf8 (talk) 12:27, 18 February 2019 (EST)

Nothing is currently known about the game's online features, if it has any. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 12:33, 18 February 2019 (EST)
Thanks for replying. We'll just wait and see if Nintendo announces it. SnowWolf8 (talk) 12:35, 18 February 2019 (EST)

Castle Theme returning?

Since the Castle Theme isn't shown in the Nintendo Direct, will it make a return to the sequal? MarioGamerFan24 (talk) 14:49, 19 February 2019 (EST)

There were a lot of things from the first Mario Maker that they didn't show in the trailer. Being a series staple, I'm sure the castle theme will return. Ashley costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 18:51, 19 February 2019 (EST)

Playing as other characters

With Super Mario 3d World where Mario was not the only playable character but with Luigi Peach and Rosalina, is there anything that says Luigi and others will be playable as well?--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 14:18, 23 February 2019 (EST)

Nothing has been currently said on wether or not the game will support multiplayer. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 14:21, 23 February 2019 (EST)

"Bell Trees"

Aren't these called Beanpoles? I wanted to make this on the talk page of the object's page, but it wouldn't allow me to. My family has always called them Beanpoles, which I had always assumed was the official name, but I guess came from Mount Beanpole. Given Mt. Beanpole's sheer amount of these trees, however, I'd say it's a more logical name than just calling it a "Bell Tree". The name we have currently is conjectural, so i don't see a problem with changing to a more logical conjectural name. Although, hey, maybe I'm wrong. But I personally just think Beanpole is better than just "Bell Tree". 72.133.91.93 16:10, 23 February 2019 (EST)Blueflame105
