Hello, Scarlet Pairo. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:
[[Category:Super Mario World images]] or [[Category:Super Mario World media files]]
Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

- {{photo}} - Used for photographs of real-life subjects.
- {{art}} - Used for artwork of something that is not a character.
- {{comic-scene}} - Used for scans of a comic.
- {{comic-cover}} - Used for covers of comic books.
- {{tv-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of television shows.
- {{film-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of movies.
- {{video-screenshot}} - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube.

When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use {{character-artwork}}.
Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Also, if you're uploading a better version of an existing image that's the same format, click on the "Upload a new version of this file" link under "File history" on the existing image's page, instead of uploading it separately.  Mario JC 22:18, October 12, 2021 (EDT)
Talk pages[edit]

Signature[edit]
If you want to use a custom signature, please create a signature page first with the signature code and use {{User:Scarlet Pairo/sig}} to sign, since adding raw code directly to talk pages is not allowed and will be stripped down to a basic signature. Once your signature page has been created, go to your preferences, type {{User:Scarlet Pairo/sig}} in the signature field with "Treat signature as wikitext" checkbox checked and save, then whenever you sign with ~~~~, your signature page will be transcluded. Hi, I'm alright thank you, how are you? Thank you, the art on your userpage looks really good too! I can't say I do have any ideas for userboxes at the moment, I'm afraid. And just a heads-up about responding on other people's talk pages, it's fine to respond to comments on other people's talk pages as long as you're not speaking over them, but it's usually not a great idea to respond to older messages- I'd already resolved that issue on Doc von Schmeltwick's talk page. Personal images[edit]

Users are limited to a maximum of five personal images, which can be used on your user page and/or for a signature on talk pages (see the personal image policy for details). Please select the personal images you would like to keep and mark all others for deletion using the {{delete}} template. If you have not relinquished your extra images within one week of receiving this notice, five images will be selected for retention at random, and the rest will be deleted. If you continue uploading more images and exceeding the limit, then a warning will be issued.

Media Files[edit]
Hi, the media files you upload should only be 30 seconds or lower. If you need more details, you can read Help:Media. Also, ogg audio files should be changed to "oga" when uploading.  WildWario (talk) 09:02, October 30, 2021 (EDT)

- Oh, I forgot to tell you, oga is just the audio variation of ogg. You just have to change the word when uploading the file. For example, if you are uploading (insert file name here).ogg, just change the ogg word to oga. WildWario (talk) 10:32, November 6, 2021 (EDT)

Invincible Mario proposal[edit]
Hi, is your proposal regarding Invincible Mario meant to be an actual proposal or just an attempt to gauge opinions? The reason I ask is because it doesn't follow any of the correct proposal formatting (which you can find on MarioWiki:Proposals), along with a Neutral option which doesn't really work in a proposal (either something is done by the end or not, there's no reason to vote neutral). If it was meant to be a proposal, I'm happy to fix it for you, but if you were just trying to see if people would be receptive to your idea, you should really just start a normal discussion for that. -- Too Bad! Moving files[edit]
After renaming a file, make sure you change any articles still linking to the old name so that they link to the new name, then mark the old file name redirect with {{delete}}. You'll find the list of articles on Special:WhatLinksHere (the "What links here" link under "tools" on the navigation pane while you're on the redirect page). Mario JC 21:42, November 6, 2021 (EDT)

Hello, Scarlet Pairo! Thanks for your contributions. When writing titles for media like games, films, TV shows, and publications, please remember to italicize them. This is done by placing two straight apostrophes (not quotation marks or curly apostrophes) on both sides of the title, or clicking on the I icon above the text box and typing out the title. For example, typing out ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' generates Super Mario Bros.

Kracka image[edit]
Unfortunately, the image scans of the kodansha guide are .jpg themselves, so they should be uploaded as .jpg. It's an easy mistake to make, and I'm guilty of doing that myself, but the way to check what kind of file they are is to right-click and select "save image as."
