The 'Shroom:Issue 178/The 'Shroom Spotlight
Hello readers of The 'Shroom, and welcome to Spotlight. Spotlight is a community project which aims to fix up the articles on the wiki which have issues. These issues can range from poor writing, to a lack of images, to even just needing a credible source.
Wow, I can't believe Earth is 2022 years old already. Time flies! January 2022 marks eight years of me (Alex95) being involved on the Mario Wiki, and what a wonderful eight years it has been. I absolutely love this community and can't wait to see what 2022 brings us. Our resolution is always to keep improving, so let's get out there and do our best!
A full eight years for Alex is amazing! Meanwhile, I believe my first foray into wikiworld here was back in 2013, which means that this is my ninth year before I move onto a decade being a part of this community. And moving on for how last month went, with our mostly golf themed, we may not have scored a par, but we did at least manage to get some things completed. A few people worked to add information to Mario Golf: Super Rush, while Somethingone (talk) improved the quality of File:MGSR Electric Statue.png, and LinkTheLefty (talk) found the required page for Yoshi Desert.
And now onto this month's focuses:

| Here's an interesting conundrum. The template for Mario Kart Arcade GP lists an item called "Power Ball", which is not on the game's page. There is an article listed there called Power Pill, but that is not on the template. What is the real name of this subject? Are they the same thing or are they two different items? | ||
| Joy's article is not very joyous. It doesn't give us any information on how she is as a character. Does she have any involvement in the story as well? | ||
| Yoshi's New Island might not have the best reputation, but the articles still need love, and this two-sentence layout section just won't cut it. Let's try a bit more info. | ||
| Sunshine is what we're looking at here, and a long trivia (that's also in the wrong place) section could be shortened for this side-mission. | ||
| Super Mario RPG art seems pretty difficult to come by, but even then, they still usually have the full artwork of the character. Unfortunately, this Chomp Chomp did not get the same treatment. | ||
| While many in this community rightfully love this masterpiece of a song, some people bizarrely aren't fans, and it's claimed that one of its lines was once voted as the fourth worst in video game history. Let's get the source, from Electric Gaming Monthly to back this up. |
Now just before we leave you, we'd like to tell you about unimplemented proposals. There are currently sixteen that need to be implemented, dating as far back as 2018, so think of this as a continuous Spotlight goal until they're all completed. Additionally, there are many unresolved discussions that we would love to see come to some sort of conclusion. Some might have already concluded and just need the template removed, others have been waiting for a response for years.
