For nearly all of its appearances, the Star Wand has simply been an optional part of Rosalina's powers and abilities.

Unlike pages such as Mario's Cap or Peach's Parasol, the wand itself has seemingly never directly impacted gameplay in a notable way, has never been shown separately from Rosalina (It seems not even her baby variant ever used it), and nearly all of it's information appears to be things otherwise covered in Rosalina's own article.

I think this page should probably either be deleted, or turned into a redirect, because as of currently, it doesn't seem to cover anything of value. Wandering Poplin (talk) 07:00, February 12, 2026 (UTC)

For my first trick, I shall produce three distinct counterarguments!
  • It has a name, and its name is more distinct than "X's Y". Like, its meant to be a thing. Imagine if a NPC's signature attack couldn't have a page because they've never been playable. In some franchises, that would be hearsay.
  • Wakebeam is a move that exists for a single cutscene, and could very easily be merged into Zeekeeper given its just "The thing the Zeekeeper contributes to the capital P "Plot" of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. It hasn't, probably because of it being cool to keep track of, as per the first point. Like, we're a niche wiki about this silly fictional thing. We're supposed to sprawl and cover niches within niches of our topic of coverage, and the exact name and properties of this item is that kind of niche.
  • I actually think the thing of Dr. Rosalina having the wand but Dr. Fire Rosalina not having the wand is super interesting.
  • Rosalina's article is not going over every single one of her non-special moves, because that would be insane. Play by play fighting game movesets does not fit the structure of Super Mario Wiki's history sections. Until Rosalina's article starts doing this, and it won't, the Smash Bros. section of this article is in fact distinct from Rosalina's article. (No, we can't just make Star Wand usage a paragraph. We'd be legally obligated to have equivalent paragraphs for "saturn ring", "galaxy burst", and "kicking". Whoops we backpedal into going over all of Rosalina's non special moves.) (One day I'll pitch making articles like "neutral attack", "grab (Super Smash Bros. series)", "grab attack", and "throw (Super Smash Bros. series)", which would obsolete this point, but that day isn't anytime within the next five months.)
For my second and final trick, watch as I add an extra non bulleted point to make the comment tree look neater! Salmancer (talk) 07:26, February 12, 2026 (UTC)
The thing is, Rosalina's wand has never really factored much into the plot of anything either. Like I said, It's really nothing more than an extension of her powers and abilities.
Apart from the fact that it's named, it seems to be less similar to something like Vacuum Helmet, and more similar to Count Bleck's staff or something like that. I'll concede that the Super Smash Bros. info probably wouldn't fit in her own article very cleanly, but everything else feels like it's largely irrelevant information. And I don't believe that the Super Smash Bros. info alone is enough justification for keeping this page around. Wandering Poplin (talk) 16:23, February 12, 2026 (UTC)
