Lurchins in Donkey Kong Country 3 and Donkey Kong Land III sport not only two yellow-spiked, green outer shells on the top and bottom, respectively, but also a thin, squishy, and pink segment that connects both shells. An unrelated enemy of the same name from Wario: Master of Disguise, meanwhile, are depicted as orange, Gordo-like sea urchin enemies that sport white spikes and lack any shells. I just wonder if this is an error. As such, this proposal aims to move this page regarding Lurchins of Donkey Kong Country 3 and Donkey Kong Land III to Lurchin (Donkey Kong Country 3).

- GuntherBayBeee (talk) Per proposal.
Oppose: Keep as-is[edit]
- Mr. Lurchin (talk) This proposal doesn't even argue why the move should happen. Either way, this Lurchin has appeared in more games than Lurchin (Wario: Master of Disguise), has a notable member who acts as a boss, and has a cameo appearance in Donkey Kong Bananza, making it by far more likely to be searched than the other Lurchins by a considerable margin imo.
- Arend (talk) According to MarioWiki:Article naming#Shared titles, the article whose subject which is more likely to be search for (i.e. the subject with the most relevance), is the one to get priority and thus doesn't require an identifier. For both subjects to get an identifier, they have to be equally likely to be searched for. Lurchin from DKC3 not only appears in a variety of levels (sometimes even in large quantities such as 43) from that game (a major installment at that), but also in Donkey Kong Land III, and even made a cameo in as recent as Donkey Kong Bananza. Lurchin from Master of Disguise... well, it's a somewhat uncommon enemy that only appears in two stages (three episodes) of a rather unpopular, spinoff-ish Wario game, and doesn't appear in any other game. Therefore, DKC3's Lurchin gets the priority and does not require an identifier; and arguing that it needs one regardless would make this yet another "change for the sake of change and NOTHING else" proposal.

Lurchin' Comments[edit]
Also, what do you mean "I just wonder if this is an error"? A lot of unrelated enemies from different titles have shared names, especially if they have different teams working on their respective games such as these ones. It happens all the time, even in Japanese.

- Another thing: this "error" comment, as well as the preamble of the enemies' different looks before it, are ultimately irrelevant to the goal of this proposal. That's the kind of talk one would expect if the two subjects are merged into the same article (such as Bee Fly and Bē), and the proposal is about splitting it in two separate articles... but, well, The two Lurchins are already split, aren't they? As such, using "as such" to then say this is why the DKC3 Lurchin should get an identifier makes no sense here. You need to convince us why the DKC3 Lurchin is not significant enough to earn the priority, NOT that it needs an identifier just because it's different at all from another Lurchin.
