Merge with Chocolate Island (or at least make this page more detailed)[edit]
The two articles are very likely supposed to be the same place, and certain translations overlap. TomAndTheCats (talk) 19:57, June 10, 2025 (EDT)
- i don't see the point. Worlds are supposed to have their own article, even if they are a reocurring location (see Peach's Castle (world)), so merging it would just result in needing to split it again. — eviemaybe

- That isn't true for Yoshi's Island (location). I'm 90% sure the main reason Peach's Castle (world) is split from Peach's Castle is because the castle is in an abnormal state that calls for different categories. (Then again, Peach's Castle (world) has level maps where Yoshi's Island (location) does not...) Salmancer (talk) 03:10, February 20, 2026 (UTC)
- Hmm... well apparently I'm wrong, because Gangplank Galleon (world) and Mario Toy Company (world) exist. What's with Yoshi's Island (location) then? (Being an old page probably.) Well, if we're going to declare this I feel like we might as well stick "all worlds get dedicated articles" into MarioWiki:New articles in the same way we do for levels. - Being the same location does not warrant merging, as several worlds and courses that take place in the same location have been separated as well due to having information pertaining to specific appearances. Even using Yoshi's Island (location) and Peach's Castle as examples, several iterations of those locations in RPGs and other spin-offs have their own dedicated articles (Yoshi's Island (Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time), Princess Peach's Castle (Paper Mario), Yoshi's Island (board), Peach's Castle (world), Yoshi's Island (race course), Peach Castle (race course), etc.). And that's not even mentioning how the three Donut Plains courses in Super Mario Kart are also separated from the world in Super Mario World. With all of that, I find merging the Mario Kart courses into the world in Super Mario World to be highly impractical in the grand scheme of things. Wilben (talk) 11:45, March 2, 2026 (EST)
