Not enough events
I believe that there are some events before 1981 that are still significant enough to the Super Mario franchise to be listed in a year article, including notable changes in Nintendo staff and the release of a first-party game system that had Super Mario games. However, since there's only a few of them, I think it they should be added in this article. Here's a how the article would look, not including the templates and category:

- Camwoodstock (talk) Whether or not we should even cover anything pre-1981 for the sake of year pages has been a little bit contentious in the Discord itself, because there's just... So few of them in the first place unless you include births of Nintendo employees, which are presently not on any other year pages. But even if we wanted to track what scant few events happened before 1981... Why would we put them on the page for 1981? Not "1980 and earlier", no, tacking it on to the 1981 page, when the main defining thing about all these events is that it isn't 1981? Nevermind the fact that there's no real list of what we'd be adding if this passes, the form factor alone has us alarmed.

- Non-existent Wandering Poplin (talk) Per Camwoodstock. We really don't need an entire page dedicated to footnotes such as Radar Scope or miscellaneous info already covered on the pages for various Nintendo employees. And it certainly doesn't belong on this page either.
